So much freedom.
As a random person on the streets of the US I have zero desire to be at war with these random people on the streets of Iran, fuck our leaders, fuck this shit.
But hey… you know… both parties are the same, amirite?
WHATABOUTBIDEN?!! He was just the same! It’s incredible just how many people are lazy ignorant and can be easily manipulated into doing NOTHING over and over again and again and again…
I saw a video of people trying to get out Iran. They looked exactly like people here. Had a couple of suitcases on rollers, wandering around, trying to figure out where to go.
We should make a law the president has one finger chopped off for each person killed. Two for every child.
Edit: Chopped off on live TV without pain killers.
Awful. They’re not only creating a humanitarian disaster, but an environmental one as well.
O beautiful for spacious skies
But now those skies are threatening
We’re beating plowshares into swords
For this tired old man that we elected king
Your first line makes me think you’re trying to adapt “America the Beautiful”, but none of your other lines fit.
Electecking?
Straighten up that rhyme soldier!
This is sad as fuck.
All the psychotic evangelical inspired bible thumpers believing Iran is controlled by Satan when it’s the U.S. and Israel bringing depictions of hell to the region.
If I’ve heard correctly tens of millions of barrels of oil have been burned along with damage to the refineries. Several refineries in the Gulf countries have been hit by Iran in retaliation.
Even if Hormuz opens up the damage to refineries will be reflected in oil shortages and prices.
and Putin gets richer…

Oh good, overly-expensive oil! Means renewables become far more viable…
You meant illegal right?
Even better.
The only thing cooler than Americans embracing green energy is Americans embracing illegalism.
as horrible as that is, that’s actually metal as fuck
LPT: If you ever get a time machine you will enjoy Dresden Germany 1944-45.
as horrible as that is
Thank you for being one of the first few people to recognize how awful that is. Just the smell… I don’t want to think about the air quality
actually, with Highway to Hell (by chance) playing on my playlist, that is a very true comment…
I hate our idiots in charge - this is despicable.
Hellish road IRL.
Greeted as Liberators
I know the context is rather sad but the burning gutters are metal af.
It’s metal but we shouldn’t make fun of this situation. Imagine if this was NYC, LA. The cities you and I live in. It’s a living hell and terrible greedy people are making this happen
MFW I am trying to crush the spirit of religious fanatics and I accidentally light the gutters on fire smh
I know this is serious and scary as fuck but I just want to make a Marty McFly joke.
Sometimes all you can do is laugh so you don’t cry…
Doc Brown wasn’t kidding; that’s some serious shit!
He’s off to fix his first fuck up that gave us Trump.
Ronald Reagan, the actor?!
Then who’s vice-president, Jerry Lewis? I suppose Jane Wyman is the First Lady!
Keep in mind that Tehran was already in the middle of a devastating water shortage.
they bombed water desalination plants. as well as schools and hospitals and are carpet bombing residential areas.
they want to replicate Gaza’s genocide in Iran.
they want irans oil/nat gas fields. remember the last time we did that, we had the shah as a puppet.
Personally, I think its more about keeping it out of China’s hands, with a side of some kleptocracy.
There aren’t any open source evidence of carpet bombing, yet.
No B52s or B1s over Iran yet either. Those are the carpet bombing platforms. Also no images of aircraft carrying dumb bombs, only guided munitions. And no sat imagery of carpet bombed areas.
You can’t use so many guided munitions that it counts as carpet bombing?
Carpet bombing implies unguided munitions.
Its indiscriminate because it is poorly aimed.
But it is absolutely possible to discriminately bomb non military targets. Like it seems likely was the case with the girls school.
thanks Langley
This is a sub-psychopathic comment.
E: English
You have to be a psychopath to remain rational about this stuff.
Hyperbole is not to the aid of the victims here. You can say school have been bomb, since the evidence exists for it. You can say oil infrastructure has been bombed.
But saying residential neighbourhoods have been carpet bombed, when clearly they have not, just serves the US/Israeli propaganda, as it reduces the level of trustworthiness of the things that are true.
One of the worst things about this conflict for the Iranian people is that so little open source media makes its way out of the country, because the internet has been switched off by the government. The little that is getting out always has the suspicion of propaganda hanging over it.
Look at Ukraine. They have managed to keep a level of trustworthiness to the point where no-one believes Russian internationally and an increasingly fewer number of Russians do. They have also kept their internet running unhindered.
I’m tired, boss.
I don’t know what’s true anymore.
I feel like I only have enough actual objective truth of anything to know that we (the US) are the bad guys…and that’s about it. That’s really not much, out of the whole picture and events of the past week or so.
Do I trust the US state-sponsored media, or the Iran state-sponsored media? Obviously both will be littered with propaganda cheering their own side and jeering their opposition.
Do we look at other international outlets? Who the fuck is even on US’s side anymore? Or even neutral?? Enough to actually provide unbiased truth?
Do I turn to social media, for the vox populi, for the boots on the ground from actual people in Iran? But then how do we know they are in Iran, and not a troll farm? We don’t.
And if we have Iranian-American friends or neighbors, their perspective is likely skewed as well…you don’t know where they are getting their information from. Are they getting it from people they actually, personally, in the 1990s definition of the word, know in Iran, or some rando on Facebook that they are “friends” with? And their reasons for leaving Iran may also influence their perspective on the news, as well.
And then, then…there’s the charlatans. The people out there that are finding putting together two and two to make 7. Adding to the static that’s surrounding us constantly.
It’s way, way, way too much to think about, man. Post-truth America sucks.
Cant agree with you more.
George Carlin has the best advice when he talked about the first Iraq war. Never trust what any government tells you. Or their corporate donors.
From there you can basically extrapolate that to mean the blogosphere, as that is just new media indirectly from the same donors.
Always check who pays the salary of anyone with a platform. Because 95% of them are grifters or state sponsored at worst, or useful idiots at best.
To the proud people of Iran, we will fuck your country up while pretending to save you to actually only have Israel terrorize you.
The Mullahs have fucked Iranians for decades. Now someone else has a turn.
yea feel sorry for them, they have been dealing with similar shit for the better part of the last century.
Pete hegseth is just mad there aren’t any school children in those drains.
Prob wants to nuke someone to one up them.
Because of course success of a war is measured by civilian casualties
Those are some nice runway lights.
