minus-squarePavidus@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up103·20 hours agoRemember kids, silicone lube is not safe for silicone toys.
minus-square9point6@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up58·20 hours agoAlso, whilst we’re on the subject, cement lube is not safe for cement toys
minus-squareAtelopus-zeteki@fedia.iolinkfedilinkarrow-up26·20 hours agoDoes that also apply to superglue lube, and superglue toys? Asking for a friend.
minus-squareIgnotum@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up27·edit-216 hours agoNo that works fine, its been stuck up there for two days now and shows no sign of liquification
minus-squareknightmare1147@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·7 hours agoHow would you get a small cylinder (5.1in length, ~4.5in girth) unstuck from a mini M&Ms tube filled with butter and microwaved mashed banana?
minus-squareAlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up1·6 hours agoYeah I was happier not knowing about this bit of 196 lore.
minus-squareZorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up27·20 hours agoPlenty of good water based lube out there, even some stuff that you mix yourself and can adjust the thickness of too.
minus-squarePavidus@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up13·20 hours agoExcellent recommendation, I absolutely love that stuff, and a lifetime supply is cheap! The worst part about it is finding a good bottle to keep it in.
minus-squareearphone843@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up11·19 hours agoIt’s fine for platinum cured toys, but you better be really sure it’s platinum cured.
minus-squarePavidus@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up9·17 hours agoAbsolutely! I was just running on the assumption that: If you’re buying toys at Spencer’s, you’re probably not after super high quality/expensive toys. 2)For those unaware, a blanket “no” is easier to remember and safer to follow. 3)If you’re in the market for platinum grade cured toys, then you are already well past this learning experience.
minus-squareZorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·18 hours agoAnd even then, probably not worth the risk
minus-square𝔼𝕩𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕒@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down1·18 hours agoWhat a very specific grade you would list, as there’s a brand that sells exclusively plat grade
minus-squarekungen@feddit.nulinkfedilinkarrow-up6·17 hours agoI’d also assume it’s referring to TPE-based toys? All that “jelly” stuff is garbage and shouldn’t be allowed to be sold.
