I’m high maintenance. Like an old car. You’ll have to work to get my ass up to do anything. I won’t ask you for anything though. Sitting here is just fine.

Low maintenance. I dislike most people, I dislike going out, I dislike buying stuff I can do myself. All I want is to be by myself and read in peace. I do like kids and talking tho, so just going to uni or watching over young family members is enough for me.
It does make weeding people out of your life easier though.
When you ask for very little from your friend circle or your relationships it’s a lot easier to see if people make an effort or not.

I resonate with this, but on the other hand I feel like we live in such a self-centered time. If my cup is overflowing, why not dismiss trivial wants to pour into the cups of others? It provides far more enduring satisfaction from my experience.
