my theory is that trans people are drawn to the internet and therefore, by chance, technology, because it’s easier to freely choose how to present and find a safe space
Many get into computers when they are younger and before they realize they are girls, they continue doing it after they come out because they like it and/or it pays well.
My (maybe controversial) theory is that software engineering is a deeply creative and self-expressive field, more closely related to art and literature than to the “hard” sciences. But it has the clear upside that it isn’t stigmatized like Art & Literature, so getting into it isn’t met with the same amount of scrutiny & criticism, especially for people who present in a masculine way.
Why there are many transfem/femboys associated with computer stuff? I’m genuinely curious.
Neurodivergence
Neuroconvergance since it keeps occuring.
Not so divergent now, are ya???

Someone should do a study into this, I’m genuinely curious why there’s such a huge association (me included :3)

Both? I agree!

Because it’s awesome and cool, is there really a better reason? That’s the reason I’m into computer stuff, and also why I’m a femboy.
Sorry, I didn’t get it.
computer people don’t do sports --> muscle atrophy --> slim --> already looks more like a girl --> easy to transition
