The quality is quite variable.
I’ve never seen it available outside of the play itself. Which is unfortunate. Seeing it live is seriously worth it if you can swing it. It’s truly amazing.
I saw it in London many years ago. Maybe I am too desensitized but I found it boring. It seems like it was made for a different generation that is more easily shocked. I guess it was made for boomers since I am nearly 60 years old.

This show was fantastic.
My first beloved Star Trek episode, for some reason the Gorn was my favorite from toddlerhood.
I wanted him to win (I despise Kirk), I was always hopeful for more Gorns in Star Trek. Had to settle for the Gorn still in credits (too young to realize that they were reruns and there would be no more Gorn)
Styrofoam rocks are also a fond memory, even at four I was suspicious
They brought the Gorn back in Strange New Worlds. They’re CGI horror movie monsters now, instead of a guy in a rubber suit fighting Kirk in broad daylight, which may or may not be your preference.
