      And likely thrice, at that.

At least when and if this is ever over, researchers will have a literal goldmine of data on mass psychosis and the effects of a nationwide death cult on society to research.

It objectively is not, even on the issue of affordability. One good example is COVID aid, where the Republicans passed more aid at the federal level than Democrats. (And people didn’t forget when Biden did a rugpull with COVID checks after the two Georgia election wins either.)

Though, with both parties being so eminently shitty on affordability, it really doesn’t matter. Biden gave lots of speeches about how much he cared about people’s cost of living but didn’t do anything meaningful to improve it, even with the cost of food becoming prohibitive.

Donald’s dementia is clearly getting worse. I would attribute it to Donald’s fear of being outed for his crimes, which I imagine is extraordinarily stressful. Kind of a bummer that it’s rotting his brain but not giving him cardiac failure.

I guess you are forgetting that Republicans blocked bills in the Senate and after 2022 in house where they got majority. The bills that Biden managed to get through (for example Build Back Better) were illegally destroyed by DOGE by cutting funding.

After 2025 and 2026 you no longer get to argue that Biden had insufficient power. That simply isn’t true, as evidenced by Donald. Biden’s actions demonstrate that he did not care about his constituents.

But feel free to lie to yourself. You can’t gaslight me.

That’s because trump just decided to ignore every law and running he doesn’t like, and Republican controlled House and Senate and Republican controlled SCOTUS allow him to do it.

              So we agree then.

I don’t care about civility and I’m not going to use it as an excuse for Joe Biden letting his constituents go homeless and starve. I’d think someone who actually cares about the things they say they care about would be willing to fight for it.

The problem is that if Biden overstepped his authority, he would get barbecued by his own party. Trump does it and they fucking cheer.

Or, instead of that, you can remind me how little you care about egg prices. Because, I gotta say, that last presidential campaign where I was repeatedly told ‘it’s not that bad’ was a whole lot of fun to listen to when I had two elderly parents stuck working for DoorDash.

Perhaps this will finally make them wake up

Unfortunately it didn’t. Conservatives were immediately telling each other that “it wasn’t that bad and tHe RaDiCaL lEfT were just taking it out of context.” But as is often the case, the context does not make it any better.

“Not even a little bit. The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran—they can’t have a nuclear weapon. I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody. I think about one thing—we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all.” - Donald Trump, military.com, USA Today

He’s a narcissistic psychopath who chose to break the Iran deal, but the context shows that preventing a nuclear-armed Velâyat-e Faqih is more important.

Also, “It’s what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, […] you’re going to get selfish, ignorant leaders.” – George Carlin, YouTube

Don’t chicken out now just because his asinine vitriol is starting to hurt you a bit. That feels a lot like seeing the ship has sprung some leaks and trying to get on the lifeboat before permanently getting stuck on the wrong side of history.

The man they voted for never existed at all – he was the product of their lead-addled imaginations and wishful thinking.

They voted for a fictional character who happened to have the same name as a real candidate.

    There is no waking up.

They WANT a Christofascist nation. They want it bad enough that they are willing to deal with a born rich felon rapist pedophile who doesn’t care about them to get it.

To them ALL MEANS JUSTIFY THE END.

It’s not an issue of waking up. It’s an issue of wanting what they want no matter what. They’ll occasionally whine that they aren’t getting what they want the way they thought they’d get it, but they’re not going to deviate from the path they’ve chosen.

These are not just confused people. These are BAD people.

There’s a lot of takes on trumps supporters, but this one rings true for a large subset of them. It doesn’t matter what he does, “he’s an instrument of god”. They see past everything cause they’ve been told all of this has a purpose. The question remains how many of them are in this for selfish reasons and will turn on him and how many are in tits deep into the Maga Christian cult to bring back baby jebus.
