Anon managed to pull off a double homicide of the movie night and his social life, all while being completely blind up his own arse. That shit’s impressive.

I know this isn’t real, but fuck ‘em if they make the new member pick a film but then refuse to watch it. That’s just rude.

For sure, but they also could have told him they only watch films in English after his suggestion. I mean, it’s all fake, but yea…

If nobody in the group except the picker is enjoying it then it might be alright to bail. But could’ve done it in a much nicer way

True, but picking Les Bonnes Femmes for a movie night when you have no clue about the vibe is a risk. Either ask what the expectations are or go with wide appeal.

If the greentext is to be believed, I think OP made a second mistake: insulting the audience instead of the bad movie. In fact, the only evidence that this is a “bad” movie night is OP’s own opinion. Maybe this was supposed to be a generic popcorn movie night for the average filmgoer, in which case OP’s comments might have been interpreted as rude by the folks who enjoyed F&F.

Fake or not, most people have an experience (or in my case, 20 years of experiences) just like this in their lives; the ones that stop you from falling asleep at night years later.

We are human. We are fallible. No one remembers, other than you, and if they do they don’t think about it nearly as much as you do.

You don’t need to self-flagellate about a mistake years ago, for the rest of your life. If anything, use it as a marker for how much you have progressed and learned since then. You wouldn’t make that mistake again, would you? It’s a lesson, not an albatross.

After seeing his movie pick I was really curious to know why the hell they thought it would make for a good pick, but then I read on lmao

The most infuriating part of this (fake) post is that they compared vin diesel movies to Mission Impossible. Mission Impossible is a good action series! Tom Cruise may be nuts but the man is an incredible actor.
