I have not yet but may soon be required to give biometrics (fingerprints, possibly eye scan) to my employer.
I haven’t decided yet what to do if it comes to that… know I’m giving random tech conglomerates far more in exchange for far less, but this one feels more invasive and personal.
But I’ll probably do it if needed. I like this job, and I trust them more than I trust these tech giants I sell my data to, just for a glimpse of the online hellscape.

I think its important to specify here that “poor hygiene” includes putting soap and other stuff on or in the vagina - stuff that for many other body parts would be good hygiene.
Proper hygiene consists of clean underwear every day, mild unscented soap on mons pubis and outside the vulva (thighs, ass), and only water on the outer parts of the vulva (labia, clitoris etc), and absolutely nothing inside the vaginal canal. The vagina is constantly flushing itself out, and trying to clean it’s inside is only ruining it’s process of self-cleaning.
Infections are most common when unsuitable stuff is introduced to the sensitive environment: perfume, soap, poorly washed sex toys or body parts introducing bacteria; or choosing wrong material for condoms, sex toys or underwear. Not washing or changing underwear can also lead to strong smells, but is by far not the most common one reason for infections.

And the solution is to not play things in public without headphones.

No, I pretty clearly stated it was my opinion, not everyone elses.
People who post aren’t a monolith either, but have a wide range of experiences and worries. Do you even know if this is my only account?

I want to write gnocchi code, where each little nugget is good on its own and they still blend together perfectly in the sauce. But I still end up with mashed potato-code if I don’t watch myself.

Heres my opinion: Votes doesn’t matter, it merely inhibits conversation when we can express your reaction to a post with a click of a button instead of explaining our own thoughts on the matter.
Just post what you want to post and try to avoid looking at the number, or go over to an app or instance that doesn’t show votes, or allows you to select your own settings for votes, or only shows upvotes.

Being able to forge a new relationship with them after a few years apart. To get to know and understand them as flawed people rather than imperfect parents, and them in turn learning to respect and trust me as an adult.
And being able to take as long baths as I want without any disruptions.

But is it “Good god. You all.” or “Good god, y’all.”?

I bought myself a new name on impulse.
I had been joking about considering taking that name on and off for years, but didn’t expect the name change approval papers to show up a couple of weeks after a bender.
Turns out joking about stuff for a long time can just rewire your brain, and I’m actually really happy with my new name.
You replied to only one of my points, and that’s not even what I said…
They train new models on base models, and I’m talking about how they scraped the internet without permission or how websites sold their users data without compensation and how no one was ever given any opportunity to opt out of sharing your work and your words to train these base models on.
Without that grand scale theft we would have no base models anywhere near what we have now.
I’m not opposed to willingly sharing, I’m opposed to profiting from stealing.
I noticed how quickly my own skills started deteriorating when trying to work with it. I’m trying to build my skills, not outsource them.
I also don’t love the environmental impact, nor the immorality of how they got/get their training sets for the base models.
If my work tried to force me to use it, I would be looking to change employer. Or lie and say I use it. But our AI use is heavily regulated and generally disencouraged, so luckily no issues there.
Of course.
My reasons for not using AI are the same as they were four months ago and will be the same in four months, regardless of what the models can or can’t do.
Ask again in four years.

Probably whoever is in gravest danger or, if the danger is percieved as equal, who physically closest to them at the time.
If one of you are able to save themselves they would save the other. If neither could save themselves they wouldn’t run past one of you to look for the other but get the first one they see out first.
I don’t think trying to figure out favourites like this is worth thinking about, past the sbive point. If you dwell on thoughts like this beyond a slight curiosity it might just be your mind trying to come up with different ways to hurt you and make you suffer emotionally. Don’t let it.

Inviting people regularly over worked pretty well for me, like hosting a weekly game night. I don’t have the energy to do so while working unfortunately, so my place is also a complete mess right now. Calling someone to have a body double while cleaning or doing other tasks also helps. Hope you figure something out!

For school I tried to always work with a classmate. Even when we weren’t assigned one I asked if it would be okay to do the assignment as a pair.
I know a lot of people hate group assignments, but it worked well for me because I would get the work started, come up with the ideas and create the collaborative spaces. The other person would keep me on track so I didn’t try to change the assignment topic halfway through, and would do those pesky last percent/clean up our workshop notes and make sure the assignment got handed in on time after I ran out of steam and interest.
Getting diagnosed helped me get through my studies like nothing else - figuring out what I needed and being able to ask for it with a diagnosis to back me up (stuff like taking a break to run the stairs and being allowed headphones with music during tests made it so much easier to focus). Good luck figuring out your needs and getting the accommodation you deserve!

Yes, more when going to bed than waking up though.
Let me introduce you to “I’m The Villain In My Own Story”: https://youtu.be/UhzN7SfnNeY
From the excellent (though sometimes emotionally heavy) show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It’s certainly not the best song in the show, but the most relevant.
And in the artery to that vein, let me present “I’m A Good Person”: https://youtu.be/O4hh1YhDfbA
(Edited to clarify these are not the best songs in the show, there are better songs and in a wide variety of genres!)
Fight club comes to mind
So does Bridget Jones Diary.
I’m not saying whether its more stereotypically male or not in movies (I’ve never thought about it, maybe its that there have historically been more male leads in general?), I just like bringing up the classic naugthies rom-coms whenever I can.

To be the artery to your vein:
It’s better the ask and sound ignorant, than say nothing and remain so.
It’s a security clearance thing. But there’s also talks of instead easing up on the requirements for different levels of security clearance, so we’ll see where it ends up.
