15·22 hours agoI had to revert the firmware on a TV because it effectively bricked itself when the software was no longer supported. I don’t connect these things to the Internet. They will simply display what I tell them to.

There isn’t really a specific Lemmy app; it’s any of several apps that use the Fediverse.
With that said, I came here because Reddit is so filtered, commercial, and fake that Lemmy seems to be one of the few places online to connect with actual people.

I have my seed box limit upload bandwidth to quite a low value, not because I hate leechers, but because I have to spread out my available data cap to maximize availability of over the long term. If I blow through my data in three days I’m not as much good to the network.
