You seem to be someone who appreciates linguistics, so I’ll share the word Hungarians use to describe a (laughing) fit - (röhögő)görcs, which literally translates to cramp.

That’s a pretty funky video in the article. I didn’t see much funghi, but I think the camera sensor was picking up on the radiation. At the dark scenes you can see these white artifacts, almost like ants on the screen, when you don’t have a CRT TV tuned to a channel.
The Children of Time series was pretty fun. Adrian Tschaikovsky, I think.
Not totally, I have to say. There are still boxers out on the shelf masquerading as briefs. They have longer pantlegs like the boxers, but also the tighty whitey pouch. Needless to say they do nothing for support. Always gotta dislodge manually on stickier days.

Here’s a smithsonian article about the phenomenon.
And we like medical drama: ER, The Pitt, Gray’s Anatomy… it was a good mix.

Can we finally say it? Is the year of the Linux desktop finally upon us??

XboX R-Cade - It’ll have an NFC chip reader for card transactions and a slot for bills.
‘I only stole your TV once and somehow I’m the bad guy?’

When I hear drunk Finnish as a Hungarian, my brain goes into overdrive to try to decode it. I swear that if I were drunk enough, I could understand it. I do not understand one squeek of sober Finnish though.

Excuse me, but the preferred term is robosexual.
Sounds like the plot from a Cronenberg movie.

Lol, that’s clearly Portugal. They have burrokracia over there, and they are honorary Balkan.

I don’t feel like it’s new users not knowing etiquette that’s the problem. I think it’s corporate greed and enshittification.
The internet has been dumbed down to a handful of high-traffic sites, and those are trying to make a buck of us. You ran a server/website for your own benefit, not to make a dollar. It’s corpo greed, I tell ya…

Subnautica
I already played it through once, but with a Phenom quadcore (and a gtx 970, but heavily bottlenecked). The difference is refreshing: from around 720p 20ish fps I went to 1080p 60.
A great crafting game, but I won’t waste words on a 10 year old fan-favorite, unless prompted (and then I can gush!).

They’re not maxing any sense.
Love ‘em! I think one of Banks’ Culture books even has a river running through one. I really believe it’s more a matter of when and not if. We probably won’t see one, unless longevity treatments become a thing.
