Fire gets it’s energy from fuel+oxygen. Most life does too. Plants (and other photosynthetic organisms) can also get energy from light but that requires you to sit in the sun doing not much for a long time. There’s also chemosynthesis, where energy is obtained from a chemical reaction, but that’s usually not nearly as powerful as oxidation.
Put another way, a car with NOS is way faster and more powerful than one without. So too is life that uses oxygen more powerful than life that doesn’t.
Also possibly a pomegranate, which comes from medieval latin for “apple with many seeds”. Lots of things were called apples in the past, and many languages still do that, like the French words for potato; “Pomme de terre” which means “Apple of the earth”.
Apple just kinda mean fruit, so it’s quite vague.
Maybe the mark is missed for me because no iPhone in existence is marketed as a standard everyday driver. They’re always various levels of “luxury” or “pro”. More comparable to a Lexus or a Lincoln.
It’s also fixed one of the flaws of the original by increasing the time difference. 2005-2024 is a meaningful difference in the market, but 2021-2024 isn’t (unless Apple harped on 2024 specifically for some reason).
A more accurate comparison and one that exposes the weaknesses of the original might be a 2024 BMW vs a 2023 Bugatti, a new upper class car vs a recent top class supercar. Fewer of that argument’s flaws are due to exaggeration and more are presented in the original, which would be a better exposition of truth to satirize with.
I agree, this is poor satire.
Top half? 0-50°C is the top half. The bottom half is -50-0°C.
Even better, I don’t even feel a fever until it’s 104°F. I’ve just looked it up, and that’s exactly 40°C. Even my body likes round centigrade numbers.
I’ve been using Blokada, and higher in the comments is Mullivad.
Premium only gets a third of the ads anyway. In-video sponsors, Shorts, News, Shopping, Irrelevant search results, Memberships, Data Tracking, and Hidden Dislikes are all still present.
If you want to edit macros in Excel, you’ll see a Vista window. Vista! In 2024!
Would that make invasive species unnatural? When does a disrupted ecosystem become natural again?
Trust the process maybe? This post is about the process of science correcting errors after all.
These are fantastic documentaries BTW, highly recommend if you liked Mayday, NOVA, Life, or any long form investigative journalism.

That is one big advantage of being divine, yes.
Even then, curses can complicate matters, and a pantheon without an applicable power will need to endeavor to make a change.
A Greater Foe could argue for a saving throw, especially if it’s against their will. A Gift might not even be enough if the deformity affects their divine soul, which sounds like a good quest hook.
I think the refractory period is a hormone response and not tissue damage/fatigue. It could be ‘healed’ in a similar way horniness, PMS, pregnancy, tiredness (but not the need for sleep), hunger, and moods can be ‘healed’.
It could also be a peripheral autonomic feedback response, in which case it could be ‘healed’ in a similar way to suppressing automatic breathing, bowel movements, automatic reflexes, and possibly the fine tuning of balance.
Such a spell could porobably exist, alongside a suite of other weird spells that were likely developed first, like Calm Emotions or unnamed but almost guaranteed to exist contraceptive spells. Some debuff spells of a unique variety could be quite interesting too, with breathing suppression being the rare effect that would require an intelligence save.
A potion would probably be the cheaper option though; plain old erection juice should suffice.
Hmm, I wonder if this would be better with an unimpressed face looking away vs a ready to pounce face focused towards the words.
There are plenty of arguments for/about various gods that fall apart under basic scrutiny. Apologists still use them all the time, and people who doubts often lap them up.
Put so blunty they do sound like strawmen, but people really argue for these things.
It’s exactly this for me. Maybe Spotify and YTP are worth it, maybe supporting them does more good than harm, but there’s no way in hell you’re going to annoy money out of me. If you can’t respect me as a free user, you don’t deserve my money, especially when that money won’t be going to the artists I’m there for.
Seriously, the best ad is a good basic version.
Even py.game would be better at this point…
