I’m absolutely convinced that the CIA, government, and private sector actors who were so successful in dismantling the USSR saw what it did for the oligarchy there and now are hell bent on replicating it. It’s a proven method. Ironically it’s wealth redistribution inverted from the socialist method and taken from the people to be given to the few oligarchs. I assume there will be backlash at some point because the USA isn’t like the USSR culturally or something but. Idk maybe not. Maybe it just works.

I think that’s not ironic at all, but a corr mechanism of capitalism which socialism and communism (the theoretical one, not whatever the fuck the soviets did) are going against.

There was large backlash within the USSR as well. The largest drop in life expectancy outside of wartime in recorded history occurred due to the complete economic devastation and collapse of safety nets the dissolution had. It wasn’t until the nationalists took power and threw out the western plunderers that they managed to get back on their feet a little bit, which is why United Russia and Putin actually do have widespread support despite most Russians today favoring socialism over capitalism.
The big thing with how the USSR was dissolved and hollowed for parts is that it couldn’t really be replicated in the US. The USSR was overwhelmingly state-run, and then state industry was sold for practically nothing to western imperialists and the current nationalist capitalists in Russia. The US is already overwhelmingly privately owned, so to collectivize everything, dissolve, then sell for parts would just get us back to where we are today. Reaganomics already sold off the safety net built under FDR to the highest bidder.
The most likely course is that the capitalists in the US begin fighting as the super profits of imperialism continue to dry up, leading to crisis and potential for revolution.
Elect cuckservatives, get post-Soviet Russia.

suprising amount of young people in alpha/gen z group want to be an influencer, some of them try but they dont have the resources to do so.
Part of my job is career counseling. The amount of people in my office who have said they want to be a streamer is way too damn high. Why someone would want to work those type of hours for the meager chance to make some money is bizarre to me. I guess every generation looks up to something.
what they dont know is that these influencers, come from WEALTHY families, they can afford to do nothing and become influencers. i currently follow like 2 pet ones, yea i was thinking no way you are that young fresh out of college and already owning a house or apartment. in a sub while back, i was explaining to someone how you need to hire a whole team for your production. Mr beast, sniperwolf, ppdie, the new ones like treharn, tennyson come from well off families. they dont have to worry about thier parents ragging on them for having no direction. all these influencers have production teams. i think i heard some people tell that thier young cousins just upload videos and assume people would be flocking to thier channel.
they want to be the next mr beast, ishowspead, KSI, kai cent,etc, trahaern, tennyson, these people are all wealthy to begin with,.
Like most “dream jobs” they idolize the idea of it without recognizing the reality of it. They see getting paid to play video games, not putting up insane hours to constantly churn out content and game the algorithm.
The thing that gets me is that other pie-in-the-sky dreams like pro athlete or rockstar are somewhat moderated because people more easily realize they don’t have the skill to reach the top. Streaming is similar odds of hitting it big, but so many more people seem to think they can make it a career because they have a laptop and an internet connection.
I mean it makes sense, it’s really the only job out there that seems fun anymore. A lot of the “traditional” jobs are getting shafted, teachers are underpaid and stressed, IT is getting outsourced, gaming is a flooded market, programming is getting cut by AI, engineers are doing okay but every position is basically “underpaid corporate job” unless you’re a standout expert, even acting is a hard market, it always has been.
The trades or an influencer is really the only “decent” job left, and the trades are sometimes grueling work. So of course kids want to be twitch streamers and Instagram live influencers. If you hit it big you make bank, and it seems fun.
teachers, i found out took a wierd twist. now they cant find jobs, some are increasing thier requirements or just hiring substitutes, despite the pay become better for teachers, which really doesnt match the COL in many places. its the districts cheaping out.
