Probably a wolf spider. I’m not quite sure if what I’m seeing are the eyes, though.
Also shamelessly plugging !spiders@lemmy.world
At least the same family, I’d agree.
Yes, wolf spider refers to the family “Lycosidae”. I’m pretty sure it’s one of them.
It’s a very unfortunate angle for a proper ID.
I think it’s probably safe to assume that it’s a spider on the inside too
Funny enough, inside are a lot of hydraulics. The reason most spiders curl up when dead is because they lose hydraulic pressure for their leg, which extends them (while muscles will contract them).

Unless you have a serious cockroach infestation, or other big big bugs in your home, probably not the best idea. These are quite big and very active spiders that will wander around all the time. For indoor spaces you want spiders that will stay put in corners, like Theridiidae or Pholcidae.

You should never add the /s.
Either way, I’d just would have pretended to take it seriously so I can drop some spider knowledge. Nothing you could do.

I already plugged !spiders@lemmy.world which I’m moderating. Spider post don’t come up often on lemmy, so I will be all over them. You never stood a chance.

Not unless you want to make it one :D
