        Yes, wolf spider refers to the family “Lycosidae”. I’m pretty sure it’s one of them.

        It’s a very unfortunate angle for a proper ID.

      Funny enough, inside are a lot of hydraulics. The reason most spiders curl up when dead is because they lose hydraulic pressure for their leg, which extends them (while muscles will contract them).

      Unless you have a serious cockroach infestation, or other big big bugs in your home, probably not the best idea. These are quite big and very active spiders that will wander around all the time. For indoor spaces you want spiders that will stay put in corners, like Theridiidae or Pholcidae.
