    I just got a booster shot 5 days ago and it only took 2 weeks for the pharmacists to be reguritaing the ‘its not recommended for people other than old or unhealthy’ line from the administration. I guess they were forced into it.

      Yeah, but one of the problems is that even if they aren’t a braindead bootlicker is that insurance companies base their coverage on those recommendations.

      Is the updated booster for the new variants out, or is this still the booster from last fall?

      I checked the CDC website, and that new clown show of non-medical officials hasn’t even updated their site to reflect the press release from last week. They can’t even get consistent misinformation out.

        The new one from Moderna is called “mNexspike” and is approved for use now and will be available in autumn.

        On a completely unrelated note, mNexspike will be available in autumn in Canada for Americans that travel there for it with the catch being having to pay for it (likely $140ish USD).

          Yep. My household has tentative fall plans to take a road trip to Canada, if we can’t get vaccinated in Freedom Land.

          I’m so glad I didn’t update my passport to accurately reflect my gender. Living stealth sucks in some ways but is much simpler in others.

            No, I haven’t gotten it. I wish. For one, because I’m an American and our braid dead administration has determined that otherwise health people, of which I’m one, won’t be able to get it.

            For two, it will be available in the autumn to regular health people in Canada.

        Still old booster from the fall, but I’m going to be seeing older family members that have cancer, this summer and would rather not risk more than I have to, so I got a booster

    My GP told me her employer isn’t doing anything different. Flu and COVID vaccines will still be free for everyone in the system.

    Of course, when there are no new vaccines, it won’t do much.
