Its easier to onboard people by having stubborn people use multiple apps instead of a full switch right away. So X, Bluesky, and Mastodon in this case getting them off X bit by bit. Another being Instagram and Pixelfed. Reddit with Piefed, and Voyager for Lemmy/Lemmy. Etc.

That’s what has worked for me to get others that are tough to get off those platforms off them overtime instead of in one moment

When Valve does that it will bring many people with them

Can be exhausting at times but it can fun too. The more enjoyable we make it to get things done together the easier and less exhausting it will be

Europeans should really push for that in EU. Then other countries and unions of countries can do the same

The more alternative companies/organizations/groups that do not do these garbage practices the better. Private non-stock unionized companies. Best if open-source hardware but that part would have to be community done

That and thinking that they won’t be sued to oblivion for this. People are looking for ways to do lawsuits and this is a big one

We must all keep pushing people to go against this and to build up Linux mobile alternatives: PostmarketOS, Ubuntu Touch, JollaOS, and semi by extension, GrapheneOS
