  • wood boards are surrounded by misconceptions and misunderstanding. Some clarifications follow:

    1. you have to treat and season your wooden board similar to care of cast iron pans. They need to be warmed up, oiled, etc every so often. Grapeseed oil or coconut oil would work.

    2. machine washing is not applicable to wooden boards but also unnecessary. Treated board has anti-microbial properties so quick wash under sink is all it needs

    3. any board other than wood (even among woods I’d stay away from bamboo and oaks etc) has negative effect on your knives - dulling and chipping them so you’ve got to select “softer” type, like cherry or maple.

    4. every now and then you may want to scrape off outter layer of wooden board to “refresh” it or maybe remove the imperfections like cuts and dents

I rarely used anything other than wooden board for the past couple of decades

  • In the past, yes he has shown some spine for action but in today’s environment having him and Harris “invisible” until now projects a very weak position. The only Democrats that remained active and visible and “in your face” were AOC and Bernie. Rest of them seem to have evaporated. I’d love to be proved wrong. So, how many public gatherings did he address and outlined strategy for applying pressure on current Federal administration? How many times did he stand up and mobilized others to stand up to present onslaught of lawlessness streaming from DC? I get it, he’s Mi governor, but he also aimed for VP chair so one would expect him to act at “above state” level.

  • genocide is only one issue, she willingly shifted all her policies “to the right” trying to lure republicans, meaning she was not about policies, she was about winning. If you have moral principles you stand by them, Bernie and AOC doing fine having the spine, DNC is hard at work supporting spineless candidates. Joe was OK-ish on many issues but he did walk away from student loan forgiveness and other things he promised. Kamala is a definite step down from Joe. US needs AOC ('cause Bernie is spent)
