I don’t know if y’all remember this, but the DNC decided to forgo a primary and forced Harris on us. When she ran in 2020 during the primary, she was so unpopular that she dropped out before any votes were cast.
Why did anyone ever think she would win? It’s almost identical to when the DNC put Hilary up against Trump.

Harris’s platform offered zero solutions to anything. Her entire thing was “brat vibes” and also I support the corporate powers that be even harder than Trump does. She was literally offering a harder border policy than TRUMP.

This meme makes me so mad. It completely misses the point that the government is supposed to be working for us. They are here to make our lives better from our collective power. The right to rule is derived from the will of the people. You are misunderstanding how government is supposed to function on an essential level.
Making it out to be the voters fault because we didn’t like the shit sandwich that the were serving us is absolutely incorrect. Harris had zero progressive ideas in her platform. She ran on basically the same platform as the GOP.
As soon as you start putting the onus on the voter, you are putting our politicians up as the aristocracy. You make them into our ruling class. This is incorrect. They are supposed to execute the will of the people.
I’m just absolutely shocked that so many people are acting like the voters failed, when the DNC has done this to us so many times lately.

Blaming the voters is insane. The DNC doesn’t learn from their mistakes and keeps putting up awful candidates that are only there because they will maintain the status quo.
We want progress, not the same shitty economy and no healthcare and no response to climate change.
It is the political party’s responsibility to put up a candidate worth voting for. We do not owe political parties mindless allegiance. You’ve got it backwards.
The government is supposed to work for us, not the other way around.

The DNC has to put up decent candidates. They have to earn our votes. They are not entitled to them.

A bigger issue is how people maintain their yards. Lawns are the ecological equivalent of a parking lot. Lawns are terrible for the local species, as are all of the non-native species used in modern landscaping. Once you learn what is actually native and what is not, you’ll be completely shocked at how few native species we cultivate.
Another really huge issue is everyone religiously scrubbing their yard of fallen leaves. Leaves need to stay on the ground. They are essentially compost for trees, and tons and tons of bugs lay eggs in fallen leaves, including fireflies.
I quit mowing my lawn and let some native plants grow up in place of grass and stopped eradicating the fallen leaves, and that summer my yard was absolutely lit the fuck up with fireflies.
All of this is currently reversible. We just have to stop buying into stupid capitalist yard maintenance traditions and start working with the native species. It’s honestly much less work than trying to make all of these Chinese species that are in everyone’s yards work.

I recently read one where the wife was on her laptop and ignoring her husband when he asked her to look at something. So he flicked a lighter in her face, and then she slapped him in his face.
90% of the comments said that she was completely justified in hitting this guy in the face and that she should divorce him.

Nah. I actually listened to what Harris said in the debate and I read what little of her policy was available.
She was basically running on the same platform as Trump. She offered stronger crackdowns on immigration than Trump, she said was more pro fracking than Trump, she said she supports Israel (genocide) more than Trump. She completely dropped universal healthcare from her platform, she she completely abandoned anything that would help climate change.
That’s why I didn’t vote for her.
