I would, however, recommend better naming conventions going forward.

Mindfulness practice.

Or just being mindful. It doesn’t sound like OP really means “alert” so much as “aware of your surroundings”.

Not in mine, but also doesn’t make it worse.

This sounds like you might mean you are usually very passive but, when you’re anxious, you are aggressive?

Though not an idiom, mine was thinking for years that “QFT” meant “quite fucking true”. Probably thought it for so long because it works (it means/meant “quoted for truth”–it was super common in WoW’s heyday, though I haven’t seen it in a while now).

It doesn’t. It’s also relatively uncommon–most people would say “piece of shit”.

Not an idiom but still an amusing anecdote.

Titanium ones are cool
Comfortable but very easy to deform. I ruined mine simply because I always take my glasses off with my left hand and that caused the right arm to bend outwards (and this was not fixable).
No one ever told me to take my glasses off with both hands! I’ve been doing it this way for 30+ years, so the habit isn’t about to change.

Welcome to Seattle, new neighbors!
That’s how I hold burritos and overly stuffed tacos. Works well.

“a Starbucks”
He was gifted an entire store?

Meanwhile, people are still calling myalgic encephalomyelitis “chronic fatigue syndrome”.
*objectifying

I had a coworker who was permanently and severely disabled in a situation like this.
He was stopped at a red light behind a few other cars. Someone not watching the road plowed into him at 40-45mph, pushing his car into the one in front of him. Brown back, broken teeth, don’t remember what else other than that it was a lot. He was in the hospital for weeks.
Now I’m extra careful to leave some space between the car in front of me and mine when stopped, but even that can only help so much when you’ve got people driving around in heavy trucks like this.

I think I use about 1:3 ratio of garlic to oil. It is quite garlicky.

Start making arrests already!
Homeland Security officials have repeatedly defended the level of care provided to detained immigrants while also claiming that “detention is a choice” as officials urge immigrants to “self-deport.”
Fuck. You.
I guess they don’t for me, either, because when I read or listen to a book and really, really like it, I buy a physical copy.
Learning to cook and making your meals based on whatever protein is on sale does wonders for affordability without putting you in depression territory (rice and beans, rice and beans).
