What I’m getting from this is that India is the only country between the three with color TV.
truly the spearhead of civilization
What was Tyler Perry in that he reached those kind of numbers? All I know is that he’s into model planes (the massive kind), which makes him cool in my book. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in anything?
He’s more into producing these days I believe. He created those Madea movies my wife goes bananas for.
Besides being a bee and having a show named after him, why is he so rich?
Contract negotiations gave him percentages of the shows royalties and not a fixed wage.
He won a lawsuit against humanity, got all the world’s honey, and sold it for cash.
Seinfeld was and still is a ridiculously expensive property to get the rights for.
Syndication
Why are they all men?
Hollywood likes to swap out female leads for a younger model after a certain age.

Nice.
Huh, weird that it is almost inversely proportional to who should be paid the most based on their talent
In that case I know a barista who makes the best coffee in the world. He should be millionaire
Given that these days a decent house costs a million dollars, I think everyone in the world should be a millionaire.
At least until we abolish money.
Unfortunately talent is less important than branding.
And in Jerry’s case being a writer and producer too, how is Larry not also on the list? Did he lose a bunch of his Seinfeld and Curb money?
Im an uncultured swine. I thought Jackie was American, he is in fact not.
Nope, from Hong Kong, and a huge simp for CCP, authoritarian asshole and a shitty father for publicly shaming his son for cannabis use
a huge simp for CCP and an authoritarian asshole
Yes. awful.
a shitty father for publicly shaming his son for cannabis use
This was probably mostly due to pressure from the public. For all we know he might actually not consider cannabis use a problem. You have no idea how much hate and poopoo cannabis gets here in East Asia. Not denouncing his son then would be career suicide.
Ultimately, both being a simp for the CCP and denouncing his son’s cannabis use serve a single purpose: get them juicy thicc Chinese Yuan. Of course, that doesn’t make CCP-simping or son-shaming okay, but if I were to be a actor in Hong Kong, I might also consider doing the same.
Since 2013, Chan has been a pro-Chinese Communist Party (CCP) politician, having served two terms as a delegate to the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and, in 2021, expressing his desire to join the CCP.
Edit: i find it really weird, that he started simpin’ in 2013. Late in his successful actor career, also getting recognition in the USA, he started liking the CCP.
I don’t get it
Edit 2: hemko edited his comment, that’s why my linktext “you have good memory” doesn’t make any sense. They do indeed have a good memory, so it’s at least correct.
That he started to be a CCP Polititian in 2013 doesn’t mean he wasn’t simping for them before. He probably was just too busy with his career to play an active role in the party. He spoke out in their favour way before this.
I’m surprised that the Hollywood elite haven’t canceled Seinfeld and left him destitute. (/s)
Shah Rukh Kahn is by far the ritchest person on this list even though he isn’t by USD.
He made this money in a country where the median income is less than $100 a month. The buying power in India of Rs 65 Billion is absolutely mindblowing and not even comparable to the other actors here.
All men
Of course, it says actors, there are actresses that are worth more than $1 billion
Who?
Yes, but according to this random source (haven’t checked the credibility of the source), they’ve all become wealthy by being born into a rich family or marying a rich man.
Oh, gendered “actor”. Right.
Is this a list of actors, gender specific, or actors and actresses, gender neutral?
Must be only actors I guess, Julia Louis-Dreyfus got billions from his father when he passed away.
Might be earnings from acting and not just overall weath.
Actor is gender neutral. Actress is feminine. Actsman is masculine. This is the new language, learn it and use it.
I’ve never heard Actsman before but I’ll look into it with a view to using it when appropriate, as it would have been in my previous post. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
I don’t know whether or not the creator of the graphic is using actor as a gender neutral term.
Edit: googling “actsman” “actor” gives me nothing. Either it’s very new or I’ve just whooshed.
It’s like how huntsman is the masculine term for hunter.
Would miners be minemen or minermen?
There’s no such thing as a miness, but if there were, the male equivalent would be minesman
