The U.S. national average price of diesel topped $6 a gallon in September for the first time ever, as fuel supply disruptions pushed up transportation costs in the country.
if that is true, then the refineries already know this, have reduced the amount of red dye diesel they’ve recently produced based on seasonal demand, which would mean that there’s not that much red dye diesel available, which makes this whole exercise more or less pointless.
I dont understand why they cant just temporarily stop tasking it.
The only reason red diesel exists is so they can detect it later if its used outside its specific usecases. If everyone gets to use it then whatd the point.
