The two Alpha Epsilon Pi members were charged with hazing. The fraternity was booted from the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in 2015, officials said.
Hazing is kind of like bullying, but typically in a group of people to which you’re trying to belong. The older members will bully the younger ones, often with ridiculous requirements with the end goal of forming cohesion between the younger cohort with the understanding that older ones did the same. The intent, similar to what some types of military do, is to break you down and build you back up together.
