The way I remember it is stalactites without the e says tits and tits hang
Nah just remember it as stalagMites and stalacTites. T faces down and looks like a stalactite and M faces up and looks like 2 stalagmites
I learned it as stalaCtites hang from the Ceiling and stalaGmites come from the Ground.
That’s probably the best one. Otherwise I think of Mites ~ termites, and some stalagmites look vaguely like those classic termite mounds.

I still like looking at the T and the M an seeing stalagtites/-mites. Aesthetically pleasing.
Stalagmites might reach the roof one day, and Stalactites are holding on tight, so they don’t fall
deleted by creator
Stalactites hold tote to the ceiling and stalagmites might touch the ceiling one day
