    My ancestors had the CCR5-Δ32 mutation, which is why they survived the Black Plague. That mutation was passed down through generations to me. So I am (theoretically) immune to HIV.

    So basically, 1/3 of Europe dying almost 700 years ago means I can’t get HIV.

    Mind you, I’m not looking to test my luck.
