I hate what is going on with ICE but these videos with no context tell me nothing about what actually happened. I want to believe that the ICE agents were 100% in the wrong here but I can’t say that without more context. Videos like this do nothing but muddy the narrative.

That said, I wouldn’t be upset to see some real pushback against ICE. I just wouldn’t be surprised when that results in violence from ICE.

    Anyway, context please!

In what context would it be right for an ICE agent to shove a civilian onto the ground before hopping into a vehicle and taking off?

If these masked invaders were “agents” or some kind of “law enforcement”, don’t you think they would have arrested the people that they felt the need to use physical force against? Have you ever seen a police officer shove someone as hard as they can and then run away? At the very least a police officer would call for backup right?

I’m posting these videos because I believe they need to be archived on a decentralized platform and seen for the crimes they are. This is physical assault by a masked man against an unarmed person. You might also notice that their car has no license plate at all, which is also a crime. These fascists are operating with impunity and anonymity with no accountability.

They do not deserve the benefit of doubt. Maybe if they took off their masks, made official reports, shared bodycam footage, and worked within the law, then I could see the argument could be made. But what you are saying in your comment above is, maybe the fascists are justified, and that is a trap.

I wish there was more context. But this is all we have at the moment. I included the source of where I found the video so others can try to look for more info. If you find it, please share.

It goes even further, it’s arguably within the agents’ best interest to follow the trapping of legal law enforcement . Even if there were legitimate limits to “qualified immunity”, they would benefit from that presumption of immunity by following policy.

Then the argument becomes whether they should have known the orders were illegal

Wtf kind of context do you need?! ICE are terrorists who are snatching up our neighbors. They all need to be tried for treason and dealt with accordingly.

I wonder how many of them got slapped on the wrist for January 6th. Think they’ll get any worse punishment now that they have a badge and immunity?

The woman is clearly unarmed. Even if the context is “she walked up unprovoked and started name calling them” does that really warrant shoving someone onto asphalt?

What ever she did. It apparently didn’t warrant the fascist to arrest her as evident by the fact that he pushed her as hard as he could and literally ran away.

The context is that the US President is an illegitimate usurper who is Constitutionally barred from holding office. He is a felon, a racist, a fascist, and a literal nazi. He is robbing the populace to fund his own private militarized gestapo and they have been kidnapping, assaulting, and murdering people en masse across the country with impunity.

      There is your context.

I usually want the context too, there’s usually more to the story than whatever helps the bias of who is publishing it …. But in this case we have a pattern of clear violations of the constitution and human rights, clear disregard of laws, clear pattern of brutality, abuse of authority, inconsistent enforcement with favoritism by an enforcement agency that is there illegally.

There is no trust left. There is no good will remaining in their reputation. There is no reason to expect their narrative to be transparent, honest, or legal. It’s possible this case won’t be so outrageous with the rest of the story, but I’m past caring, past expecting immigration enforcement to be law abiding or to have any positive chaterisyics. I understand that’s giving up, it’s just increasing the divisiveness, but it’s one of the things they seem to want and they’ve succeeded.

My issue is less that I need context for myself and more that I don’t like the lack of context from the perspective that people who still haven’t seen the violence may question the circumstances.
