Not eho you asked but I think I know where they’re coming from.
Broadly speaking, Democrats have not been calling out Republicans for their actually radicalized speech and actions. Have done far far far too little to stop right wing violence and hate groups. The dems have only nominally been an opposition party and only served as a temporary stop on the overton flywheel the republicans crank like a meth head at every opportunity.

It’s sometimes helpful for us old hats to remember not everyone else has been watching and taking notes on this slow slide to fascism that recently went into overdrive.
I honestly didn’t think they were going to try this until they had the autonomous AI killing drones already built to guard the farmland they’ve been buying up.
Tesla cars no longer profitable? No worries, now it’s a drone factory just in time for Google to launch their weapons control AI.
I wish that sounded as conspiracy theory tinfoil hat as it should, but it doesn’t.
