It is really sad to see that we as a society are past our prime in multiple areas. At least when looking at it from a “western” perspective. And when I consider the political climate it seems that things have to get a whole lot worse before they can get better. I resonate with the shower thought.
And you have to do it within the narrow time and energy constraints created by needing to work to stay alive.

Definitely has always been the case, but having a hard time agreeing that it’s gotten easier in the past decade (at least in the US).
Housing prices higher, inflation, grocery prices rising, no wage growth. All with seemingly less community and family cohesion.
