Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Weight Loss drugs could save airlines $580 million a year in fuel costs - DexertoEnglish
2·8 hours agoEh. Whatever gets people in the door and doing SOMETHING is fine. But you can’t gym your way skinny.
Strength is made in the gym.
Abs are made in the kitchen.
I think they call it a nosebleed. Or something ridiculous sounding, like an old red snooty boot.

8·11 hours agoYou don’t need a gym to lose weight. The only thing that works is calorie reduction. You won’t find that in a gym.

Privacy@lemmy.world•Considering switching from iCloud/Gmail to Proton or TutaEnglish
21·1 day agoYour pitch is to diversify email, contacts, and calendar.
That is ridiculously inconvenient, and since those three things are inextricably linked, you can easily move between services.

41·1 day agoSo your goal here is to dilute the phrase fascism so that everyone’s a fascist and we don’t really need to do anything different now than we did 10 years ago.
Is that not your goal? Because that’s what you’re accomplishing.

Games@lemmy.world•Why are people still romanticizing No Man’s Sky’s “redemption” arc?English
4·2 days agoI will try one more time to get the point across.
I’m not calling you a jerk because I’m insulting you ad hominem and think HG is good. I’m calling you a jerk because you were a jerk. And I agree with you that HG is not good.
Ad hominem would be if I disagreed with you.

15·2 days agoYou (possibly falsely) accused a commenter of supporting HG while saying it’s a stupid thing you do. You were a dick. I pointed it out.
And that’s the whole story my friend.
