The administration tools are just as bad.

I want to add a user to a group, so I bring up Entra and search Groups, too bad it’s a Mail-enabled Security group, so now I have to do it in Exchange admin and enable a separate admin role for myself.

I want to disable a device in Intune, so I search for device XYZ in Intune and there’s no disable button. You have to figure out who’s the primary user on the device, look them up, find XYZ in their device assignments and there’s the disable button.

Sure you can do it in Powershell or Graph and hope they haven’t deprecated whatever module you were using last week or changed the process entirely.

I avoided all Silksong articles and posts until I finished Act 1 and probably shouldn’t have been surprised by the response, but I was. To me, this threads the needle of that difficulty curve I’m looking for. It’s hard but none of my deaths have felt cheap - I made a mistake in my read or hit the wrong button or I’m old and my reflexes are slowing down.

That was whelming. I recently replayed the Prime series but couldn’t remember why I had no memory of playing Prime 3. I had fun with 1 and 2, but gave up on 3 after the first few wii-mote gimmicks and getting orders from the marines or something.

Just finished Deep Black by Miles Cameron. It’s the second and final in his Arcana Imperii series.

It’s military sci-fi space opera that does a lot of things right. The main character isn’t an unlikable bastard, she grows and changes throughout the series, it’s not super hard science but it’s also not hand-wavy fantasy, they deal with acceleration and relativistic effects, etc. . But it also bothered me - she’s a bit of a Mary Sue (although this gets addressed); there are huge swathes of actions described that probably weren’t necessary like pilots going through all of the check steps, launching, doing actions, landing; some of the antagonists were a bit mustache-twirly evil. Overall though, it’s still got me thinking about it and turning it over in my mind, so I’d still recommend it.

I played a demo a while back and it was pretty engaging. It felt similar to other roguelites where some combos are really ineffective and others just crush everything.

My problem with that is that I’m filled with the urge to just restart the game when I draw something that doesn’t seem like it’ll get me to where I need to go. That’s a me problem though…I built spreadsheets to maximize my farm efficiency in Stardew Valley.
