…And like 90% is tRump voters in the South [are not rich]. The worst mistake we made, as a country, was not hanging every last leader of the Civil War, including members of Congress.
What a wretched day to have vital signs…

DDUUUDDDDEEE, too soon!
Don’t threaten me with a good time!
Long live TOOL!
Dem TheoBros gotta get into power to continue their shitty ideas, ya see. Christian values and all that shit.
In all seriousness, these people are fucked up. They have a manifesto that does for family values what Project 2025 does for government, and they will enforce it via policy if they’re given the chance.
Not affiliated at all, just a customer, but AmeriSleep beds have been the best beds I’ve ever laid in! They have just enough give in firmness to avoid hip pain while sleeping on my side, but support those pressure points evenly with your spine.
I get it, the anger and spite, but you’re not running for president in a country where a portion of the population believes you should be saintly while your opponent spews vitriol any time he opens his mouth. Biden has nothing to lose by removing the gloves, but unfortunately, calling a rose a pig dipped in dog shit while hoping to appease the largest swath of voters is something Harris needs to shoulder. Biden should have never made those comments, at least not until after the election.
I feel the same as you, but we have the platform to voice those things anonymously and without repercussions.
Don’t worry, that’s exactly what these TheoBros and Christofascists want! It’s literally in their little manifesto.
To turn away from the “go hard onto Linux” tropes, try Windows Update Blocker (WuB). I’ve been using it to pick when my machine, as well as friends and families machines, update. Every month or so, you need to turn updates back on by using it and updating the OS, but it can be scripted to enable/disable updates at any time, if you don’t feel like thinking about it. It not only blocks if but protects from reenabling updates by that fucking medic service that will try to turn it back on when the machine is idle.
I know. Same. And the music. It’s so good!! Such an intense movie, but so human. The emotion really comes at you from all angles!
Yeah, I saw it all on EWU’s channel. Some quality shit on that channel. Though by their logic, everything I do normally in my day-to-day is a red flag!
I don’t run my own instance, but one concern I see grappled with by instances, at some time in their existence, is how to handle image storage and embedding. I won’t pretend to know the options or have opinions on which to use or how to resolve the larger issues, but I see that as a large hurdle to mainstream, in addition to the points referenced by OP.
Probably missing some, but these are the ones I can remember right now. I think Schindler’s List should be required viewing by everyone before they graduate high school. I remember when they used to air it on regular TV, unedited and uncensored, commercial free. I feel we were nicer and more willing to avoid wars back then.
I ain’t ashamed to say it, I cry every damn time I watch it.
Meanwhile some deaf, mentally impaired, black dude gets tased and beat up by police for the crime of… Checks watch… Being black and unable to hear the officer.
I remember this kind of shit when I worked at Caterpillar. I always assumed the requested permission messages just disappeared into the void. Of course, I was IT so my requests were usually asking for more than they’d want their help desk staff to have.
One use-case for me has been converting code from a language I know to a language I don’t. Usually, just small snippets. The code is usually full of holes, but I’m good enough with the logic to duct tape those puppies!
A monkey with a stethoscope.
Not too mention the “inflation” was entirely fabricated to hurt Joe and the Democrats. All they had to do was ask people what inflation? To ask them how there was record inflation AND record profits with large payouts to CEOs. It’s gross that the rich fabricated this, sold it to the masses, and they ate it up.
In 2016, I was angry at the decision some made, but understood that no one knew who tRump was, what he stood for, or how he’d govern. In 2024, we knew all of that. It’s clear this is what people want. They won’t ever know how badly they fucked themselves cause they’ll be told who is really to blame and they’re too stupid to get a second opinion.
