The thing with piracy is that it’s not just a money saving trick used by teenagers, it’s also the only way to truly watch the media you enjoy regardless of what some media conglomerate thinks - they no longer get to define how, when and what you’re going to watch. You have to do a bit of setup once… yes that sucks, but from that point onwards, you’re free.

There have been societies that suppressed childhood due to labor needs, but that came after many more had thrived respecting it.

Wouldn’t really matter in a federated network like this. Mods banned you from a community? Make a new one. Account banned? Move to another instance.

There’s zero reason to feel attached to online accounts like these, which is the only thing you can lose on Lemmy.

I use MusicBee, running on Wine, to listen and synchronize automatically.
