Linux@lemmy.world•Linus Torvalds Working On A Hefty Linux Kernel Improvement With Claude CodeEnglish
36·4 days agoRespectfully, do you know who Linus Torvalds is?
Blitzscaling. The enshittification comes once the userbase is stable and the company can’t keep bullshitting investors about possible future gains so they have to start cutting.

Leftism@lemmy.world•Discussing Socialism without mentioning MarxEnglish
1·21 days agoYou don’t have to reference anyone to discuss Socialism. Frankly I think it’s a little masturbatory to mention the big names except when discussing them specifically.
An entirely different social structure, to be honest.

You have to provide a source when you make such a claim.
What kind of setup do you have for taking photos underwater?

2·27 days agoI think there is some confusion because I have had more than 4 domains at one time and they did not complain about it. 2 of them were wildcards. Possibly a “90 day certificate” is something specific that they are offering?

361·27 days agoI’ve been using ZeroSSL for over 5 years and can attest that they are friendly in that I have literally never seen or heard from them.
I’ve set up and cancelled multiple domains in this time, and have had one domain running for the entirety of my time with ZeroSSL.
I don’t think you (OP) are gonna find much better than a for-profit business with a good track record if you’re unwilling to use Letsencrypt.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•So many people have no idea the gas tax doesn't come anywhere near covering the cost of car infrastructureEnglish
102·1 month agoWhat compels you to to type a comment of this nature? You know we are not advocating for the total abolishment of roads as a concept. What is the point of mentioning that they are a part of the distribution network? It does not argue for more or less cars, but for some reason you ask me to be glad that a tax is paying for a part of it’s maintenance, when its maintenance would still be paid by taxes- just other taxes. It would presumably also be significantly cheaper to maintain if we did get rid of most cars and replaced them with alternative transportation, especially bikes. The roads are primarily not being used for logistics.

51·1 month agoI don’t know what you said, but I can infer from context. I just want you to know that I’m not picking sides when both sides are 2 bad bitches. Neither the US nor China are good.
And neither is Europe nor the middle-east. Or Australia. Or some random African country I’ve never heard of it. Don’t simp for nation states.

83·1 month agoUSA streamlines the process of building bike lanes by simply letting the bicyclists die in traffic so there is no need to build bike lanes. Very innovative!
