Rian severely overdid subversion of expectation. It just doesn’t really work if you do it like 8 times in the same movie, viewers will just stop expecting anything.

Those giraffe-horses should have been podracers.
Agree on the other points though. RoS was just complete garbage from start to finish.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•On a typical Linux distro, what information do WiFi access points get when you search for and use another AP?
2·1 month agoI hope there’s a whitelist of SSIDs for this. I wouldn’t want my home router to register a new device each time I come back home
That’s because it it’s defined in a way that is linguistically correct, but utterly insane for regular use.

2·2 months agoI solved Problem 1 by adding ICMP to HA. It’s constantly checking if my phone is present on the WiFi*.
I’m using Tailscale instead of ZeroTier, but that should not matter.
*I could also use my routers integrstion, but this logic worked with my shitty old router that had no integration
Central and eastern Europe. The Wikipedia article has a map.
Although you should always check the official vaccine recommendations of your country/area, like this one for Germany
I envy people whose problem with ticks is borreliosis.
Ours have the fun stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tick-borne_encephalitis
Luckily, there also a vaccine against that. So I’ll expand the PSA to that (especially for those that moved here from abroad)
Technically, this would be nuking the UAE and Yemen

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•At my local Mexican restaurant they had this sitting at the front to advertise it for St Patrick's Day. When I asked what it was the guy said "Um... it's green."
9·3 months agoGreen cocktails are usually Curacao Blue mixed with orange, passion fruit, or similar juice. Throw in some Tequila or Vodka, and done.
I used to go to a cocktail bar where you’d get custom cocktails one day a week by filling out a small form. Selecting “Green” for the color has never failed me.

Circular white on blue signs are “order” signs. Whatever they don’t show is implicitly forbidden, without needing a red circle “forbiddance” sign.
