That’s actually legitimately scary.

As a child, I was suspicious of the Swanson Ice Cream trucks that randomly appeared in my neighborhood.

He uses the buffer for more than just people he hates/likes. He’s got all sorts of stuff in there. Like all the stuff his wife told him to throw out.

When she makes him eat vegetarian, he goes to work, pulls out a freshly-cooked T-bone steak, and just eats it there in the transporter room. Nobody ever transports that early in the morning.

That joke was so bad, TOS cast members felt the cringe.

The Drew Carey Show has a lot to answer for with its “Cleveland Rocks” propaganda theme song.

You have to specify which era, at least:

1. Your parents’ Star Trek. Cheaply made and over the top acting. Aliens are mostly excuses to show half-naked women or use props from other shows to save money. But it has very important life lessons that everyone should learn.

2. Your Star Trek. Lots of boring talking, but that’s the best part! Certain episodes have become increasingly problematic as the years go by and even later episodes suffer from limited budgets. But the good ones stand out as the highest points of the franchise and they will likely never be topped.

3. The kids’ Star Trek. Over-produced, shaky cameras, lens flares, and everyone is a sex-starved alcoholic for some reason. In spite of the frequently cheap filmography, the show has never looked better, never been more accessible, and everyone is proudly represented.

THE MAN IS A MENACE!

More than just an actress. Majel is the one who encouraged Gene to pitch Star Trek to producers after suggesting some changes to his original idea. She’s one of the reasons the show existed at all.

Her last role in Star Trek was the voice of the computer in the 2009 reboot movie. Unfortunately, she died before it was released.

This would have been a way better series.
