They have a warranty of 30 days for manufacturing errors… Wouldn’t be legal if they would sell in the EU. Apart from that sounds interesting.

I really like the idea of randomly elected representatives. Sure, they will try to better their situation for afterwards but with enough corruption control (which is probably easier to implement), this will only ensure that they support their kind of workers a bit more than the rest.
Electoralism =\= Democracy
I love it that the page is designed to advertise multiple pieces of software but stopped at curl ^^
More coming soon. Or not. I don’t owe you shit.
ffmpeg is definitely also a candidate for this.

No. While there are many opinions by no means are all really intellegent once binary. See Hanna Arendt “The banality of evil” or Friedrich Nietzsche “Beyond good and evil” (result is debatable but smart mad)

34·2 months agoSpecifics matter. I would be fine with an endpoint that given the passport/id card allows to do a basic check for any severe offenses - as often performed for childcare jobs, too.
Anything beyond that sounds bad.

While they do lack screen share, it is in active development. See https://github.com/revoltchat/backend/issues/313 Last work on that issue happened 4 days ago. I am not a dev of revolt.

1·2 months agoI think for now the easiest solution would be a browser extension “TakeMeHome” that automatically redirects you when you enter a foreign server that is federated with your home server. Should be pretty easy to implement.

1·2 months agoOh, I agree. I meant SSO in the second sense: that there are external Identity Providers that you can use to create an account at different servers hosting different kind of fediverse experiences - be it Lemmy, PeerTube, Mastodon or … I understand the issue you are describing first, but I haven’t had that problem yet. Sounds like it could be fixed with a simple redirect - but I guess it is not so easy to figure out whether you need a redirect in the first place.

1·2 months agoCheers! Would be cool to see SSO happening as it would simplify joining multiple fediverse instances (PeerTube, Pixelfed, …).

At least you don’t have people who do politics as a job and no one is incentivised to constantly increase pay for them.
