I don’t think someone else’s death is ever a good thing to hope for
I strongly disagree. There are many times where someone else’s death is something to hope for. I think if you try you can think of a few relatively easily.

Yeah, if DayQuil doesn’t work for you and NyQuil does, then it’s the antihistamine.
Use Sudafed or it’s generic during the day, that shit’s amazing.
USB-C ports are especially prone to dust/lint buildup that can prevent the plugs from seating properly in the ports. Worth trying to scrape them out if they stop working right. I like to use a staple that I’ve unbent, but it has been pointed out this probably isn’t the safest tool. Just avoid the contacts and only scrape the bottom and sides of the port. It’s amazing how much crap comes out if you’ve been using the device for a while.
Wasn’t that the entire point of the “U” in “USB”?
Nah, the point of the “U” in “USB” is so that devices communicate in a standardized way through a standardized bus. The port itself doesn’t need to be universal—after all, USB-C is I believe the first time that the host port and the device port are the same, previously there was always an A for host and B for device, even with mini-USB and micro-USB.
Toothpicks aren’t usually thin enough in my experience, and I’m more worried about the tongue getting bent by the toothpick than I am about the bottom of the port getting scratched by a staple. But I agree a staple isn’t ideal, it’s just the common item I’ve found that works best. I’m sure there are better tools.
Is it the jack itself that’s wiggling, or the plug won’t stay in the socket and wiggles too much?
If it’s the latter, take a staple and bend it straight, and VERY GENTLY drag it round inside the port, avoiding contacts, scraping out the lint and dust that has almost certainly become impacted at the base of it over time. I do this whenever cables don’t want to stay in anymore and it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes.
I have had one example of the port itself becoming loose, but mostly I’ve run into the lint/dust problem.
Yeah Lightning was really nice. I was surprised how much I liked it after switching from Android to iOS. If only it weren’t proprietary and had too few pins to be very useful outside of charging.
I still hated that my phone didn’t use USB-C though, since everything else I own does. Glad the new iPhones do.
That’s probably the doxylamine succinate, which is an antihistamine and also relieves congestion.
As I understand it, studies have shown phenylephrine simply doesn’t do anything at the oral doses we get. It’s in there because pseudoephedrine got moved behind the counter because meth production can use it, but it’s essentially useless.
If what you’re really after is a decongestant, go to the counter and ask for Sudafed (or generic pseudoephedrine). They’ll probably ask for your ID because meth, but that shit works. I get the 12-hour kind, personally.
(Just know that it might keep you awake.)
Maybe I’ve seen far too many cases of people uninvolved in atrocities being blamed for them. Even in just the last few years. Even in this very conflict.
But whatever, you do you and I’ll do me.
fuck off lmao
How was I supposed to know that? lol
Yeah if true then fuck those guys.
If true, the yeah, fuck those guys.
Fucking idiots. These Israelis aren’t the ones genociding any more than the average Gazan is Hamas.
Or at least uphold existing laws. Churches are 501©(3) non-profits. By definition a 501©(3) is an organization that doesn’t promote or oppose any political candidate. They can say whatever they want about ballot measures, but not candidates.
If they’re promoting a candidate, remove their tax-exempt status.
Okay, I think what I’ve learned today is that I now need both a sticker of a werewolf tearing its shirt off and screaming “I VOTED!” and a democracy sausage.
The world is such a delightful place sometimes.
Slaves were welcomed into the early church. And slavery as practiced then was dramatically different from the chattel slavery practiced in the West in more recent history. Not to say that slavery was ever okay ethically, but in various forms it has always been part of human history, unfortunately.
You’re just jealous you didn’t get the awesome stickers Michigan did this year.
“Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line.”
Because they understand the spoiler effect.
They seriously streamlined the item stats, removing lots of the super specific affixes that made finding gear that worked for you a huge pain in the ass. They’ve also added ways to control some of those affixes through Masterworking, which lets you roll for one or two of the affixes from specific categories.
They’ve also changed how paragon works. Now max level is 60, and relatively easily reached, and then you begin earning paragon levels that are now shared across your characters on the realm (eternal, seasonal, hardcore). This way you can get your full build in terms of skills pretty quickly, and then become more powerful through the paragon board.
With I think the fourth season they added The Pit, tiered timed dungeons like in D3. With the fifth they added “Infernal Hordes,” a vaguely roguelite dungeon where you adjust the enemy mechanics as you go through waves until the boss fight, trying to earn currency to open chests at the end.
The expansion added another dungeon type called Kurast Undercity, which starts with a certain amount of time and you gotta kill stuff to get more time. These have customizable rewards based on how you start them.
They also added a thing, Dark Citadel I think it’s called, that requires multiple players and boss fights have mechanics that require you to work together. It’s fun, but I prefer to play single player.
Helltides are always active somewhere now, and in all difficulty levels. Farming them is pretty great, and a fast way to level up.
Getting materials to summon the endgame bosses has also been streamlined, so they’re easier to farm.
Also the new class, Spiritborn, is stupid OP right now, which is always fun.
Oh! And you no longer see mobs levels, to help the people who don’t like that enemies level with you and say it ruins the RPG part. Now enemies are just enemies. They’re always going to pose a similar challenge except they generally get easier to kill as you level up because of your gear and build.
I’m sure I’m missing stuff, but that’s some of the improvements they’ve made.
Right? It’s wild how much comes out!
