You know, you’re right! The actual study tested dozens of bacterial strains and different sweeteners, and the article cherry picked one tiny fact to vagueify into clickbait. I’ll edit my comment to reflect this.

One specific sweetener, in conjunction with one specific medication, among dozens of tested bacteria and sweetener combinations. This is bad journalism.

“We made sure to specify an unrealistic causal separation between caring for all things and the benefit of those around you, because this suits our worldview” type shit.
All AI slop endeavors are unprofitable - not just to the individuals or companies making them, but to all life on Earth. It shouldn’t be used at all, and should be done away with as soon as possible.
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Peter was demonstrably a superstitious idiot throughout the gospels. Jesus was just letting us all know what kind of people would be in charge of the organized religions with his name on them.

Did I miss a memo that the actually more convoluted thing was somehow the thing that the just and virtuous must believe and all who understand how common lab leaks are must be seen as crazy and evil?
Jfc this is a twisted worldview. I can’t imagine how you got there, but it’s pretty clear you’re not taking anything I say seriously at all because you keep repeating the same shit and now this nonsense. Have a nice day - on someone else’s time.

It’s the whole “it got out” part you’re glossing over there, chief. That’s the complicated part for which no evidence has been provided other than the circumstantial.

Occam’s Razor.
That means the opposite of the way you’re using it here. Your convoluted conspiracy theory doesn’t pass the real world sniff test. It’s a narrative and I don’t buy it.

Somehow this narrative makes more sense to you than the truth: that they were studying a virus’s potential gain of function, found it might gain enough to fuck humanity up, and then the virus in the wild did just that. Cue shocked pikachu face. But yeah sure, it just had to come from the lab. It’s not like they were studying a real virus that was already in the wild and posed enough threat to warrant the study.

Imagine that - a bullet that dodges you!
And neither can a disembodied miniature organ? What a weird headline.
