Alr here’s all of it. Sorry that took so long. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bocHEulCDEKUIradHJPTxwI84ZDJcuX9
That’s an option? How would I go about doing that?
the status on the sddm is that it is working but the screen is completely black. Like i can type in my password and press enter and then it takes me to the desktop but I just can’t see it.
I tried an older version of the nvidia driver and nouveau and the issue still persisted on both.
also can you do a
systemctl status sddm
here’s the output https://pastebin.com/mF9h0x9e
I think this might have something to do with the issue but I’m not sure
sddm-helper[1790]: Failed to write utmpx: No such file or directory lines 1-25/25 (END)
I did search for the issue. I tried adding i915 to my initramfs modules while it did make the boot a lot cleaner looking, but the sddm is still not rendering, it is there though, I just can’t see it.
Actually, I do have a thunderbolt device plugged in, but I have already ruled it out as a possible cause since the issue still persists even when the thunderbolt device is not plugged in.
The issue is I have no idea what any of these errors mean. I’m pretty new to desktop Linux so I’ve just been researching the errors one by one but so far, no dice.
And there’s also Icecast! https://dir.xiph.org/genres
Here is a video I recorded of what it looks like to log into my conputer from boot.

I genuinely don’t know how to describe this since I don’t entirely understand what is actually going on here.
