In an interview before his first term he commented that we had nukes, why not use them? The response from his supporters was that he was just kidding or talking metaphorically. The same people who voted for him because he says what he means.

I haven’t driven the newest vehicles, but you can have control over an automatic and where it shifts. And I’m not even talking about the shifting selector, but how you give it gas at certain points to trigger the shifting pattern. Do many people drive like that, probably not, but it’s not the machine that determines the driver.

Except people were all over this the minute it came out, and while plenty labeled it as AI generated, it’s damn good if it is, as things line up well. The text isn’t a given, as pixelation from a phone camera can mutilate words. All AI slop I’ve seen fail at text badly, not blurred but still possibly the words.

Much more likely some inpainting, as the various ones like in this post did. Don’t have to gamble on the AI getting the newspaper right, just have to get the face matched well enough. People have been doing that with Photoshop for decades now.

If you can find a higher resolution picture than what was given to the public and show the words clearly as gibberish, then you’d be right.

Good alternative way of debunking. Now I’m not sure at all. I guess we’ve finally gotten to the point we were warned about. Long video is now the only sure thing, and even that won’t be soon.

It would have been a longer and more complex article requiring a lot of research if they tried to go through all the issues that could be contributing. Hell, it’d be a book.

Too young mentally as well. Which could be from society, but even in times where people were forced to be an adult early (working and having children), they did it from necessity and not because they were ready.

There’s a lot of very small details that AI would have messed up. Like the background stuff in the picture seems to match okay. But AI is getting better, or they could have had a good photoshop expert. The lettering is due to the camera resolution, I don’t see anything off in word placement or length anywhere.

If it’s fake, then they’ll flub up soon enough somewhere else in continuing it.

It was joining Facebook long ago and adding people I knew that made me realize I’m not going to ever bother going to a reunion. I only had a few close friends in high school, and the rest… well, let’s just say it didn’t take long for me to block their constant postings about all sorts of junk topics. My mistake was seeing Facebook as a newer version of the BBS forums, but once I figured out it’s all about saying “look at me”, and not about actual discussion… not my thing.

The LCD screen and size were the selling point beginning with the first ones. Newer phones can do more, and for some that might be better, but I don’t like the smaller screen, and will go to a computer before I try to see a website on my phone. Guess it depends on your needs and priorities.

Getting ready to retire, and boy I do not want to be around once my scripting that everyone relies on breaks. And it will, it requires regular upkeep by me. Not by design or maliciousness, but because of Microsoft 365 stupidity. But oh well…
