One of my biggest issues with increasing housing is that many Americans store their wealth in their house. Home ownership is the retirement plan for many, or the generational wealth plan. So how can we build housing without devaluing existing housing?

The answer is to build more multi-family housing, which doesn’t really compete with single family housing for price. The former is mostly for rent, while the later is for owning.

2-factor would be fine if it didn’t have to involve my phone. It’s such a pain in the ass. Like a second password would be fine, so my password manager could just do both at once.

Why do they need immigrants? There are people here now who need jobs, they can do it.

If I hear “immigrants will accept lower wages” one more fucking time I’m going to lose it, that’s just an intentional creation of a lower class, it’s feudalistic and coercive. Same thing with farm labor. Pay a reasonable amount and local people will do it.

Because it sounds to me like illegal travel SHOULD be stopped. People immigrating illegally are working for super low wages, increasing supply of labor and therefore lowering demand. It’s bad for workers. I know people say “Americans won’t do those jobs” but that’s because they are paying nothing since they can get highly desperate exploitable people. Labor should be on the side of restricted immigration.

Note I’m not talking about asylum, but the USA shouldn’t be the only place people go for asylum. It’s my impression that most immigrants are economic anyways.

Personally I’m on team acab but I think israel has a right to go after hamas since they did a terrorism. That doesn’t mean they should kill innocent people; but on the other hand, look at how many German civilians were bombed to death in world war 2; it’s how war works.

A country’s responsibility is to their own people first, almost always at the expense of foreign people. In the case of Israel, it may be that their security is won at the expense of the Palestinians from whom they stole their land. So they are acting in the interest of Israelis.

But cops are different, they attack their own countrymen and enforce a power dynamic within the country that is bad for the country’s own citizens; specifically protecting the interest of capital. They are enemies of the state within the state. Different thing.
