Yep, he invested in the existing Tesla company, and then forced them to list him as a founder.
If Elon Musk is the founder of Tesla, then Stalin was the founder of Berlin.

From the picture, we can tell that even if they knew their letters, they still didn’t know how to spell “birthday” in any case.

I think that definition simply doesn’t reflect how the word is used anymore.
In English, the definition is based on how the word is used, not the other way around.

Marco Rubio said what I assume is the actual truth. Israel told us they were going to carry out the attack, and the US agreed to go along with it at the last second.
He also said what I think was a lie in the same explanation, that if Israel had attacked alone, then we knew Iran would attack the US and so we had to strike first to limit US casualties.
It’s a pathetic loser of a reason, that we can’t stand up to Israel. No wonder everyone else in the Trump administration has been lying about it non-stop.
Had Israel attacked alone and had we subsequently been attacked, do we really think there would have been far more US casualties? It seems dubious to me, based on the history, but I am not an expert.
If Iran did attack us like that, then we’d have complete justification for joining at that point.

Speaking of toxic masculinity, I remember Joe Rogan during Covid saying that he decided to stop masking and isolating because it made him “feel like a pussy” IIRC.
It’s weird to me because in my view, a strong person doesn’t care what other people think of them. Rogan’s actions just seem extraordinarily cowardly and weak to me.
Like, he needed to eat elk meat to feel like a man? I understand we all have negative thoughts like that, but to be compelled to act out of your own fears doesn’t strike me as masculine in the least.
Is that a part of toxic masculinity? That it’s centered around fear of judgment and a low sense of self worth? That they feel a need to project an image that’s exactly the opposite of how they really feel?
Because if so, then it seems like even the slightest bit of critical thinking ability would easily steer men clear of it.

We should definitely tell Trump that the President of Puerto Rico currently has nuclear weapons and that he seems intent upon deploying them.

My impression is that carnivores need teeth that pierce and rip, so they can’t do much ruminating.

Also, whatever few microorganisms there are won’t generally do very well because there’s not much for them to consume.
But there are some, which is why you should always use distilled water instead of tap water when it’s important to avoid microorganisms such as with nasal irrigation.

If somebody had to die for a war, it’s better some old rich man who is causing all sorts of harm, so I guess my point was if we pretend that Trump’s target was just Khamenei, and everybody else who died was just an accident, well, that would have been better than having young people die.
In this case, though, it looks like a whole shitload of young people died, including like 100 elementary school girls, and that’s war for you.
So, you’re right. It’s not even close to the other side of the coin. I was mostly just commenting how Trump clearly targeted a bad dude. If a terrible scenario plays out where Iran launches an counterattack on America, I hope they target our bad dudes.

I do think that it’s terrible that war usually means that young poor people die in abundance, while the rich old men who make the actual calls do not face any danger at all. But I don’t agree with Trump’s ridiculously stupid attack on Iran.

And another fuck you to the American people. Melania was not elected. She was not appointed and confirmed. She’s a nobody in the eyes of our government. We Americans have a process for choosing people in our government and it’s not supposed to be nepotism.

The Chief Justice actually swore him in.

This is exactly the situation that the 14th Amendment was created to prevent. Yet our worthless government refused to disqualify Trump from the 2024 election and let him be sworn in despite the fact that all of that was clearly illegal.
I think a dog’s nose has two separate nostrils that connect somewhere along the way on the inside. That’s not a sphere. It’s a torus.

A competent professional would have found a way to make both things work together. Ripping the carpet out from under their users’ feet is exactly why people switched from Digg to Reddit all those years ago.

Uhhh these are always repetitive, at least for the public ones. Most of the politicians asking questions just want to score quick gotchas and sound bites.
I suspect that the private depositions are typically more down to business, but in this case, Republicans want to obstruct the truth rather than expose it, so of course it’s going to be a clown show.

China is a shitshow, legally speaking. The Chinese government basically encourages Chinese companies to steal international IP. If you sell any products to China, you can expect them to steal any novel ideas inside. There’s no recourse even for big companies.

Everything about that announcement screams, “We are amateurs who are bad at our jobs” to me. I guess that’s on purpose? But what’s the point? If they suck so badly at these sort of decisions, you don’t want to use their services, anyway.

Before anyone in the party can move on to selling a post-Biden vision of human-rights-first foreign policy, they must address what accountability for the war criminals in the Biden administration — those who aided, armed, and funded genocide — should look like.
To me, this seems focused on a goal, that while admirable, doesn’t actually help in the current situation. We can actually continue trying to do the right thing even if Biden’s team faces no accountability.
I’m going to say one good thing about Musk below. It’s probably the only good thing I will ever say about him going forward.
The American car industry is a cesspool led by some of the biggest villains who exist. The existing car manufacturers were not heavily investing in EV. They liked the status quo. Also, the barrier to entry for any new car company is extremely high, as well. For example, a lot of states have laws passed requiring car manufacturers to sell from traditional dealerships, which is specifically to stop new small car companies from succeeding.
Because of this massive corruption in America, I fully expected that any EV developments would start internationally. You’d have to be a complete moron who was also flush with money to try to fight them. And then Elon Musk came onto the scene. He was a complete moron who was flush with money.
I don’t know that Musk pushed the EV industry forward, but he certainly pushed the American EV industry forward. If Musk had been smarter, he’d have tried something more reliable with his money, and he wouldn’t have started an impossible fight. I know Tesla has almost bankrupt at least once since he took over. His luck stat must be off the charts.
