Uh, it’s not a “big Donald Trump district” any longer.

Uh, it’s not a “big Donald Trump district” any longer.

Yeah, that’s my first thought. Kinda cool, but I could see stepping off an edge and going down hard on a table or something. I wouldn’t even care if it was me, I fall down all the time, but I’d be concerned about others, like my wife, or my mom, or my son.

My rapidly diminishing purchasing power due to high inflation, tariffs, higher interest rates, higher taxes, higher junk fees, and stagnant wages is forcing me to boycott as much as I can, whether I like it or not.

That would be hilarious.

Valid. Classic Rock is awesome. That’s the best version of popular music in the entire 20th century. I’ve been listening to YouTube videos of Isaac Brown, an experienced young music producer as he goes through great classic rock albums that he’s never heard, and commenting on the playing and production. It’s cool to listen to him react from an experienced musician/ producer perspective. It’s fun to listen to an album I’ve loved for years, as this young guy gets his mind blown over and over, just like I did when I first heard them, DECADES ago.
My issue with Country is the same as any genre - about 90% of it is actually pretty mediocre, at best. About 5% is pretty good, and 5%, maybe less, is really great. Chris Stapleton? As good as it gets in any genre.
The main problem with most country music is the lyrics. You can literally play Country Music Bingo, with squares that include Jeans, Boots, Cowboy Hats, Trucks, Beer, Bars, Dogs, America, Country Girls, etc., and that gets old, and stupid, really fast. Not as bad as Christian Music, with EVERY song about a single subject, but it’s close. OTOH, you could say nearly the same thing about Classic Rock, singing about partying, cars, etc., and Metal gets really weird.
But Country MUSIC? Like the song says: “Nashville Cats, play clean as country water…” I could listen to country guitar players forever.

I grew up in the 60s, 70s and 80s, so I love Classic Rock and New Wave. But I also have a degree in music history, so I know classical music inside and out. When I was a teen, and my friends all worked at McDonalds, I was playing gigs in a 15 piece Big Band, so I also love jazz.
Then I got a job with a major record label, managing all the fun genres - classical, jazz, world music, blues, soundtracks, etc. Since then, I’ve worked for many classical labels, jazz and folk labels, a really cool Chinese label that recorded ancient Chinese folk, classical, and indigenous music in perfect audiophile sound, etc. One of my favorite tracks is an old guy in Yunnan province, who plays a LEAF. Just puts it between his lips, and blows, playing beautiful melodies with subtle nuances, on a fucking LEAF!
After decades of listening to, playing, and writing about all sorts of music, I don’t really hear it in terms of styles or genres anymore. It’s all just music to me, and while it’s kind of cliche, it’s just broken up between good and not so good music, and frankly, I decide which is which based on my own trust in my own musical taste. You are perfectly welcome to disagree. Doesn’t bother me at all if you like something different.
BTW, I say “not so good” music, because I would never disparage a genuine musician who is genuinely expressing themselves musically. I may not like it, and it may not be played or recorded well, but they’re a musician so I respect their art. I don’t care much for Metal, but I get it. I can even like a lot of it from a technique perspective. A lot of those guys can really play, I’m just not big fan of the music that results. I feel that way about a lot of country. Great playing, not a fan of the music so much.
OTOH, scum like Kid Rock, who use their “music” as propaganda to oppress others, including musicians, deserve hatred from the true world of music.

It doesn’t make it all better, but it illustrates that their intimidation strategies are failing badly, but only if the whole story is heard.
By your telling, a guy was badly victimized by ICE. In my telling, he gets his revenge, and humiliates them. Making people fear them is good propaganda, but may have the effect of scaring people into not engaging. Making people see their virtuosic incompetence energizes people to continue to resist.

The age of your account won’t matter. It’s not about age, it’s about identifying everyone on the Internet, and connect to them to whatever they are posting. They will verify age with your driver’s license, or they will lock your account.
The way around it is with VPNs, but MAGAs are already complaining about them. They are about to lock down the Internet, and to access it, you will have to let them read everything you write.

It’s already started, for porn. The kids don’t have to prove their age, they don’t have proper ID. So EVERYONE ELSE has to prove THEIR ages, and if you can’t, you are assumed to be underage.
See how well that works for the Nazis? Now they get to identify EVERYBODY who is on the Internet with their legal IDs, and they will know exactly who posted that nasty meme of Trump.
But it’s okay, because it protects the children.

I’m pleased that you are entertained by an entirely human interaction.

Arena shows used to be all about lights, lasers, and volume. Now it’s all about props and dancers. It’s like Broadway on the road. They’re trying to give people enough entertainment value to slightly rationalize the obscene cost of concert tickets these days.
Of course, lights and lasers used to work better when the atmosphere was filled with weed smoke. Now everybody does gummies before the show. I assume.

I like MOST music, far more than most people do. Most people have very limited musical tastes, while mine are extremely wide. YOU probably dislike far more musical styles than I do.
And I didn’t say that I didn’t enjoy any other Super Bowl performances other than Prince and Michael, I just said that I enjoyed theirs the most, and since they are universally accepted as the most popular Super Bowl performances of all time, I’m clearly not alone.
I’ve actually enjoyed most of the Super Bowl performances I’ve seen. I even liked watching this one, I just didn’t dig the music, which isn’t aimed at me, and that’s okay.

That guy’s (a lawyer) case was rejected by three Grand Juries, until they recharged him under statute that didn’t require a Grand Jury.
When they got to court, the ICE Ape “victim” testified that when the sandwich hit him, it burst open, and mustard and onions covered his body armor, and the smell gave him PTSD, which now uncontrollably triggers whenever he smells onions or mustard. His life was totally ruined by that sandwich throwing meanie.
During cross-examination, the defense really let the guy sell the story of his victimization really hard, then they displayed a photo of the sandwich, taken by investigators AFTER the incident, and it was fully, tightly wrapped by a Subway Sandwich Artist, who really knew how to wrap a sandwich. Give that person the Employee of the Month Award.
The ICE Ape’s testimony was proven to be an obvious total lie, and the dependent was quickly found not guilty. The ICE Ape was NOT charged with perjury, which is the real crime in this story.
And the defendant was a lawyer, who won his case, so if he was fired, I’m sure he’s been hired, by now. If not, he should do a GoFundMe, and he’ll be a millionaire in a few days.

That’s cool. I enjoyed Prince’s and Michael’s halftimes. That’s why they cycle through the genres.

I don’t WANT it, but I have a degree in history, and have studied this stuff a lot, and the window for peaceful resolution is closing quickly.
We have one, perhaps two more chances to get out of this with minimal violence, and those are the next two elections, and we only get the second chance if survive the first one, this November.
There is no way the Midterms go off without MAGA Molestation. Even if the Dems manage to come out of it with at least one chamber flip, MAGA will REFUSE to acknowledge or accept it, Johnson will refuse to swear them in, and after all this talk about Constitutional Crisis, we will have a real one.
And even if we get past this one, it will just kick the can down to a bigger battle in 2028. These people threw a violent Insurrection when the weak Biden administration was coming in to do nothing. Now MAGA knows for sure that the Dems won’t squander the next opportunity. Their freedom DEFINITELY is on the line, and for some of them, perhaps even their lives.
They have access to the biggest military the world has ever known, and they are already threatening to use them on us. They already have paramilitary Death Squads roaming the streets, breaking out into spontaneous firing squads and executing innocent Americans. We are already having a violent revolution, and it will get far worse before it gets better.

One of the reasons that Cosby was such a betrayal was because he had such an appeal to children. We didn’t discover him in our teens or adulthood, we followed him as little kids, and his humor became part of our psyche. We had invited him into our minds as a friend, only to later find out that he was a genuine monster.

That counts on the national leaders deciding not to massacre the citizens.
In 1989, East Germany was run by people who had grown up under the system, and we’re just doing their jobs. They weren’t true believers since East Germany was forced on them, and NONE of the founders were ever true believers. They weren’t about to lay down their lives to defend a country that isn’t even theirs, against their own countrymen who want to end it.
But MAGA is new, and it is still being run by MAGA zealots, who are still in the midst of achieving their dream. They won’t give up so easily, and since they believe they have ALL the power, politically and militarily, they will deploy that power before they surrender, especially since they know that surrender is likely to be accompanied by very harsh consequences.
This won’t be peaceful.

The only time I tried AI, I attempted make it create a picture that combined Trump, Hitler, and a pig, into my favorite Trump nickname HitlerPig, but it wouldn’t cooperate.

“Speak softly but carry a big stick,” implies that you have to be ready to deploy that Big Stick, and the other side has to believe it.
Unfortunately, the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries has been using the Big Stick to roast marshmallows and weenies, instead of waving it around, and everyone has forgotten about it. It’s time to take away the Big Stick, beat Schmuck & Jeffries with it for a while, then use it on MAGA, real hard.
First of all, IF the Midterms actually happen unmolested by MAGA, it WILL be a giant blowout. MAGA only has a one vote lead, and literally EVERY special election has gone against Republicans badly.
The Manchurian DINOs are a realistic problem, and Dem leadership needs to strongly address the issue with those people. That will require NEW DEM leadership across the board.
And the Senate wasn’t in contention before, but with MAGA being so universally reviled in this country, it’s now in play.
And Trump probably won’t see a jail cell due to Epstein, unless we suddenly get about a hundred smoking guns, including photos and videos. The evidence is too messed up, the chain of possession is destroyed, it has been under the control of MAGA, and NONE of it is trustworthy as evidence.
On the other hand, I believe that he will see a jail cell over his Insurrection and his Stolen Classified Documents, and a LOT of other stuff. Those prosecutions have been put on hold, but they aren’t gone. When Trump is out of office, Jack Smith can refile, and start up right where he left off, and he seems highly motivated to do just that.
