I like PC gaming (Palia, Satisfactory), crafting, gardening, communing with non-humans, and enjoying existential depression through the scope of Zen Buddhism and Tao. Don’t step into my fairy ring unless you know what you’re getting yourself into.

I do container gardening in fabric pots mostly, so I group my seeds pretty close. I’ll cull extras carefully with all of my seedlings because it’s easier than trying to separate them, whether I’m starting in cells or direct sow. This way, their little roots are unaffected and can continue to grow shock-free. The remaining roots of the culled will quickly wither and be reabsorbed.

If there’s more than one sprouted, I pick the healthiest of the group and prune the rest right down to the soil. I don’t like disturbing the soil and would rather they build strength for transplanting.

Both parties are in on the whole thing, the system being rigged from the very beginning. I don’t buy any of it; it’s all theater.
Everyone is the main character. 😉

Better start brewing a pot!

Hot Topic’s lesser known chain, known for post-apocalyptic techwear and cyberpunk gothic garments. I’d shop there.
Yup! We get black-capped chickadees, very cute and very bold!
It’s just loose chicken wire on the top of the fence, about 24" of it all the way around, structured haphazardly. It is only tacked to the top of the fence and is very wobbly, stable enough only for small birds (chickadee size). I put it on to deter groundhogs from getting a good footing, but it seems to keep the squirrels out too. Not necessarily foolproof because squirrels are totally ninjas.
During the winter months, I keep my seed and suet feeders inside my fenced garden. That way, it keeps squirrels and other mammals out and adds a small amount of fertilizer (droppings, shelled seeds). It’s a pleasure to see them every morning!
