The Reuters article suggests prohibiting payments to Apple so that Chrome users on their hardware default to Google search. What about default settings to Firefox? Similar agreements finance a large portion of Mozilla’s revenue.

Honestly, I see this outcome as the majority of the people saying, “Less politics, please.” How about we try something new that’s something old? Using juries to select presidents, governors, and other government officials. Randomly selected citizens decide life and death for people accused of a crime. That’s a jury. I think the majority of us would be okay with randomly selected juries deciding elections too, especially if it means a serious reduction in how much we have to witness of the political campaign process.
That I’m not disappointed in him.
How do they establish prices? Is it a negotiation of some sort? What’s the process look like?
Does it slow your response time or impare your decisions? A question from someone with zero experience.
Sounds like you need a zip line! 😂
Am I the only one on here using Budgie. I just feel more comfortable with the workflow using Budgie.
I walk or bike to about 90% of the places I need to go. That said, I also recently bought a vehicle for $1200. Works fine except the fuel gauge is broke so I have to just keep it topped off. My neighbor is trying to sell his Kia Rio for $1500. Works fine. It’ll last at least another 3 or 4 years. Likely more. I have a friend whose son totaled out his car. He wanted another. I recommended a car that was in the $1000 to $2000 price range. He didn’t want it. He took out a loan and got a very nice, very sporty car. Then he got in another wreck and totaled it out too. So then he goes and gets himself another expensive car. I just don’t understand.
It is like any other election for me. I don’t want either of them. I’m guaranteed to be disappointed.
I’ve met a few fascists in my life and every one of them has referred to Israelis as “the tribe,” and advocated for arming the Palestinians so they could finish what Hitler could not. Their ideology was ugly but also very unsupportive of Israel.
I think support for Israel is based on their sharing three principle values of the west: liberalism, democracy, & capitalism.
Says I’m 10%. BMI says I’m 22.5. I think that’s a big difference? I’m very tall, thin, but have solid muscle and work out about two hours per day.
This is not new and it has previously been used against anti-abortion activists, tracking locations and even being used to record religious confessions. People on both sides of the abortion issue can oppose this type of monitoring.
If you look at early votes, Republicans are doing better in every close state other than Pennsylvania. So assuming there’s a correlation with party affiliation, the polls are probably correct. If Harris is going to pull this off, she needs to address the ground game in these pivotal states.
For me it was the opposite. Windows required too much support. It didn’t do what they wanted it to do and bad updates inevitably caused problems. With Solus Linux everything became easier for them.
What do you most like? Thoughts on why others should give it a shot?
IMO, it is going to come down to how much the Republicans get people to vote early. The last election went bad for them because people didn’t trust voting by mail and there’s always a contingent of people who intend to vote on election day but don’t make it for one reason or another. Political junkies should also watch the weather forecast in close states. Bad weather probably favors Democrats in this election. This is a change from the 80’s and 90’s when Democrats were less likely to show-up during bad weather.
Does anyone consider Tumbleweed stable?
Would it be much of an issue if we insisted presidential powers were limited to what they were when the Constitution came into force? Today’s presidents (both parties) greatly exceed the powers of Washington and Jefferson.
I don’t know anything about her. What’s her story?
