To quote a famous Georgian political activist and philosopher, “a nation is a historically constituted, stable community of people, formed on the basis of a common language, territory, economic life and culture.” The US Empire is a settler-colony, and as such does not constitute an actual nation, though it is a state with citizens.

I’m pretty sure the USA counts on all those points.
The settlers do not qualify, though, just like Israelis do not have a claim to nationhood in Palestine.
