General and social anxiety are correlated with some types of autism. Doesn’t mean everyone on the spectrum has anxiety nor that everyone who experiences these types of anxiety is on the spectrum. But it is a data point. String enough of them together and you just might stumble your way into a diagnosis. Or that’s how I did anyway.
People who like you don’t expect you to be socially perfect. And if someone did expect me to be socially perfect, I would not want to be friends with them.
This is literally what anyone with SA has to deal with on a daily basis.
