Reading Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie, a standalone part of the First Law series, after the initial trilogy. I really like the whole “nothing matters everything is what it is” sad and depressing vibe, it feels incredibly relatable.

Also doing a first listen (but not first time through) Wheel of Time, this time with a buddy of mine. We’re just about at the end, so going to need another book to listen to while I run, though probably gonna be DCC.

Just finished Last Argument of Kings this morning and I feel so conflicted about it D:

Still an enrapturing series. I love Abercrombie’s writing style and Steven Pacey is the best audiobook narrator I have ever listened to. Give The Devils a go if you haven’t read it yet—it’s the same gritty fantasy as the First Law but adds some much appreciated humor and levity into the mix!

The Devils is on the list, which is a very loose assemblages of things I’m thinking of reading. They’re turning it into a movie or show so it may get some priority.

But yeah, I love his character arcs, which is a term I’ll use to avoid spoilers. Definitely not feel good reads.
