I remember reading somewhere that mechanical stress from high intensity exercise kills cancer cells and leaves normal cells intact. It’s because cancer cells tend to be poorly put together and fragile.
I don’t mean to be a bore, but hasn’t it be know forever that regular physical exercise is all-around good for the health?
I suspect whoever researched this couldn’t think of a topic for their PhD in time, because that path is very, very well trodden.
Even though we know regular execise has a ton of benefits, you cannot just assume it reduces cancer risk and improves outcomes without actually studying it.
And even if someone had already had that finding, it reguires more than one study to be able to scientifically establish the fact.
I’ve read about physical exercise improving or curing everything from obesity to cancer to mental health for decades.
Or rather, I’ve read articles saying “study suggests that xyz can improve something or other”, meaning that someone did some stats on a small population size that isn’t statistically significant enough to draw hard conclusions. And there are studies like that for a dime a dozen. This is one of them.
Yes, but you cannot scientifically claim it does all those things without studying every single claim. You cannot just generalize it and claim it helps with something which hasn’t been studied.
