Just saw the movie recently for the first time, funny coincidence. And yeah I was kinda taken aback the first time we see it. I thought it was some kind of wardrobe malfunction left out accidentally. But nope, they wanted to be sure we saw it in every outfit lol.

that was just the norm in the 70’s-80’s. see Dune, Zardoz, Rollerball. probably some others but those were on the top of my head
