There are many more reasons for not wanting to wear fitted clothes. They are not comfortable and you actually need to look good to look better.

Hard disagree. What this picture is showing is ill-fitted clothes. Everyone looks better when their measurements are taken into consideration with the outfit. You don’t have to fit it close to the belly to be ‘fitted’ clothes, they’d probably downplay the extra waist size and focus on tailoring the fit near the shoulders and arms and ensuring the shirts mid area is more specific to the individual’s shape than the three-sizes-fit-all Walmart shirt strategy.

Most of my stuff isn’t fitted, and I’ve been a solid 50-75lbs overweight most of my life, but the stuff that is fitted looks nice (and cost a good penny more) and makes me feel better while wearing it

This is how I feel when I try on a shirt I like in a store. Nice shirt for a nice-looking guy. Guess I’ll have to stick to the plaid sacks.
