I honestly don’t know what data this browser exfiltrates, or what else malicious it might do, but I don’t trust anyone this shady to run proprietary code on my devices. Scammers rarely respect any kind of boundaries.

I use opera gx only for Youtube and FB. For everything else I got apps or my pc. Browser on PC is not Opera.
Why do you use Opera? Let alone Opera GX? Do you need a “gaming” (???) browser on your phone?
On my phone it is the least resource intensive browser. Also I am not as security fanatical as many people on the fediverse are. I got scripts for blocking trackers though.

Bin bestimmt irgendwann in den nächsten sechs Monate wieder bei dir in der Gegend. Aktuell geht es noch. Aber langsam kommen die Altersprobleme. Hatte überlegt Shiftphone zu holen oder irgendwas wo custom OS haben kann.
Es gibt auch Fairphones, die für ihre Reparierbarkeit bekannt sind. Übrigens kann man auch eine andere Betriebssystem als stock Android installieren.
Shiftphone ist glaub ich auch für Nachhaltigkeit konzipiert.

Sounds like a feature, because there is no likeable content on FB. Therefore it’s safe to assume people hitting that little icon want to download it.
There is some likeable content, but the crappy algorithm wants you to see reactionary boomer shit 80% of the time. Post in background was about various sexualities, picturing a hetero couple, a gay couple, a lesbian couple and what I assume is a couple where one person is possibly nonbinary. Rather wholesome. But after zuccs announcement, I am not having facebook to keep in touch with family in a far away country anymore. They should get Signal if they wanna keep in touch.
